Acoustics. The wall dividing the rooms and windows vs. the proximity of a pub makes difficulty of night rest to some people. But the hotel is not guilty.

Being both elderly having to go up two flights of stairs was fairly hard work for us and would have preferred a ground floor room- also there was no offer of help to take our heavy case up to the top floor ie two flights of stairs and we found that extremely difficult !!!

Being in the middle of town, it's very close to a number of nightspots, and their thump-thump music continued well into the night. If you prefer a quieter place, you may want to look farther south.

This is a very comfortable small hotel, well located in town, within a few minutes; walk of just about everything. The staff was extremely cooperative.

This traditional hotel added an authentic atmosphere to a modern town and was perfect for our stay in Sopot. In the centre of town with its many shops and cafes, with an easy walk to promenade, pier & beach. Only booked for one night as very easy access from airport and we had to move on but will look forward to going back and spending more time there.

Just a warning for people who have problems with stairways: - the hotel has two floors but no elevator - room 207 has two floors with a steep, narrow spiral staircase to the sleeping area (we did not like this room and the staff were very helpful in rebooking us to another room). About public transport: the SKM train connection with Gdanks is good (two trains per hour, journey time 25 minutes), but the train connection with the airport is a little more difficult and takes a transfer at Wrzeszcz station. A taxi from the airport costs 70 to 80 zloty.

The first impression about the room wasn't very nice - it was much smaller, than on photo on booking confirmation. It's just not fair. It's an old-style wooden construction building, so you are able to hear when somebody is walking, but in general sound isolation is good.

Extremely professional and helpful staff. Excellent location, 2 minutes from the main tourist street, and 5 minutes walk from the sea. It was great, because neighbourhood isn't noisy, but you are still in the very center of the city. Exceptional breakfasts with a great choice of food. I've never had such a good breakfast in a hotel on this price level. Nice and very clean rooms.

for the standard room a little bit to over-rated price, but it's a peek season in Sopot, so everywhere prices are quite high.

great location, just one step from the main street with bars and restaurants (where the famous crooked house is) and few minutes from the beach and Sopot's pier - Molo, but situated in a quiet street, so we could sleep really well. Very nice and helpful staff speaking english; deposit for luggage as we arrived much earlier than the check-in hour. Good small hotel, in a period building, tucked away in a side street just off B. Monte Cassino St. Close to the action and only a couple of minutes walk to the pier and 5 minutes walk to the station. Clean modern rooms with good bathrooms and comfortable beds. They advertise the "Best Breakfast in Sopot" and they are probably correct (although at 38PLN per head it definitely isn't the cheapest, but still worth having if you have the time and apetite to make it worthwhile).

We used to visit Villa Sedan frequently in the past, mainly due to its comfort and value for money. However, since the recent conversion of the hotel several rooms were added, which clearly had an impact on room size and comfort. Moreover, on the 2nd floor most of the rooms have sloping ceilings with the result that it's highly inconvenient and narrow until you reach the bed. On Sunday we were invited for Easter brunch (80zl/person), however got disappointed again as the buffet only contained 1 type of soup, 2 basic main courses plus cakes, which had nothing in common with a traditional Polish Easter brunch.

    excellent location; good breakfast offer.

There is now a bar across the road which becomes very noisy in the evening and stays noisy throughout the night. We know that is not the fault of Villa Sedan!

We enjoyed a stay at Villa Sedan 10 years ago. Since then it has had a significant up-grade. We liked the tea maker in the room and the access to WiFi was helpful. The reception staff were as friendly as before - but with the electronic key there was no need to talk to them, which is a shame.
