We really liked the structure and everything around it, the pool was amazing and also the room was beautiful and very clean. The host Tyler was very kind with us and always available for suggestions and advices to enjoy the island at his best.

Everything was great. You will likely be paying a little more but on Vieques this is the standard, so compared to other properties it’s a good value.

Suzann and Tyler were so kind and warm while hosting us. They spent as much time as we wanted giving local recommendations and showing us around the property. We loved greeting the cats on the property, especially sweet Rosie who was always there to greet us. We felt right at home.

Suzann and Tyler are INCREDIBLE! If you’re thinking of staying here…. DO IT! And book an extra day. The place is so nice, extremely comfortable with lots of amenities (pool, sunscreen, beach supplies, coffee, great ac everything you need to be comfortable) but the hosts are out of this world. Suzann pulled out a map of the whole island and marked it up with local connections, great places to eat, beaches we should try all customized to the experience we were looking for. She helped us get transportation around and to vieques. They are communicative, flexible, friendly and kind the hosts make this 100% the place to stay. This is a beautiful island, and Suzann and Tyler make you feel at home. They’ve got recs on recs on recs, my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

This is an incredible gem. The location is ideal, so close to restaurants and bars and everywhere you would want to walk. Tyler took his time to walk us through the map on the island of all of the beaches to visit and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very comfortable, with a spacious living room area and kitchen, and a private roof deck to watch the sun set. We felt like we could have stayed there for weeks. We would definitely recommend!

The two main owners—a lovely husband and wife duo—run this place entirely on their own, and you can feel the warmth and care in everything they do. From the moment we booked, they reached out right away with a warm welcome and provided all the essential information about the island. Some of this info is hard to find or confusing on Google, but they offer the best local insights—trust them! (That said, it helps to do a bit of research first so you can ask more specific questions—they’re incredibly helpful when you need them.) When we checked in, it felt like reconnecting with old friends—we chatted about everything like we’d known each other for 20 years! The guesthouse is charming and well-maintained, and it truly feels like coming home, with everything thoughtfully prepared for you. The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance. Just get yourself there, and you’ll see what I mean. I only wish we had booked a longer stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Thee hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I went with my friend to celebrate our birthdays and the room was decorated with banners. Very nice touch. They offered as well a very late check out so we could enjoy the beach but still come back to shower before catching the ferry. Would love to go back!

We stayed in the Casita in the back which has a little porch with two chairs to enjoy the garden from. The room was of adequate size. The bed was comfortable. There is a refrigerator in the room. The hosts have coffee ready in the morning. It's an easy walk to the small malecon with a variety of restaurants and bars. The island itself is beautiful and so much fun to explore.

this was a very cozy, clean and comfortable stay. we enjoy the room the cold A/C in the entire apartment.It had everything we needed for the beach. Susan and Tyler were amazing they gave us suggestions of places to eat and places to go around town. They were very informative and friendly.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Esperanza Guesthouse! It has such an amazing, welcoming, cozy, and true-tropical island vibe! Our love shack was so private and clean with all the essentials needed. The garden with all the flowers, the pool, cats, and iguanas was the gem! Sussan and Tyler were so thoughtful hosts! The best hosts I've ever met! We were welcomed as family, provided with local recommendations and suggestions! I'm looking forward to staying at this property again, but for a longer time! This is a true gem of Vieques! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay at the Esperanza Inn. I appreciated the warm welcome from the owner, Tyler, and his sweet dog. He and his wife really work to create a warm and inviting establishment that felt like you were visiting family. I really appreciated (and used) all of the information provided by them about the island; it was like getting insider tips that you can't get online or from a guidebook. The cooler, which was included in the room, was also invaluable on the beaches. Moreover, the location is right next to all of the restaurants and bars on the Malecon (food was amazing anywhere you went). Of course, the beds were super comfortable. Yes, the neighboring rooster likes to crow early in the morning, but the charm of the Esperanza Inn is being in a place that is rooted in its neighborhood, rather than some sterile, sanitized hotel. You may leave the room to find a tree frog on the fence or a few stray wandering horses outside the gate in the carport. I can't wait to come back and visit again!
