Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWalls were very thin. We were up at dawn every morning because we could hear hotel staff through the walls On the first floor. The front desk staff was very rude to us. We were told for $50 we could have a late check out of 5:30. We paid that and the next day were told it was 1:00. No refund was issued. Also we had trouble getting towels. And our toilet broke durning our stay and ran water out in our room.
Right on the Beach! Beautiful view. The staff at the bar was amazing! So nice and helpful!

United States of AmericaI didn't like that they didn't have mini refrigerators and that the service at the hotel was so slow. I wish they provided umbrellas for the chairs.
It was right on the beach and conveniently located to additional restaurants other than the restaurant in the Hotel. They provided lounge chairs and beach towels. I did enjoy lounging in the restaurant to enjoy the beach and breeze without getting to toasty.

Puerto RicoIf you don't like the sound of ocean waves constantly hitting your wall close to your room, this not is the place. Sadly, they had lost all sand at the coast. There is no beach to swim anymore. You park at the street but still a safe neighborhood. Not a big deal if you don't mind parking on the street. The only thing I noticed employees speaking loud because the outdoor bar is next to the first floor rooms. Well the ocean was loud too so they were competing.
This is a sweet and resilient hotel boutique. The room was clean, tidy and very traditional dark brown furniture at the first floor. I liked the sound of the ocean waves that could be intimidating in the middle of the night.

United States of AmericaMmmm.. The room I stayed in needs a frigde.. No real place to dry clothes or towels.. No suite case stands.. No beach chairs... No beach towels NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE DEAL BREAKERS FOR ME... I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN
I love it here. This place has a bed and breakfast feel. We were on the lower floor with ocean view. You can hear the ocean crashing all night which I thought was relaxing. The staff was amazing and helpful. Shout out to Leo who makes great café in the morning and if you don't know what to order his food choices are on point. Also shout out to Whitney at the font desk. She answered all our questions pointed us in all the right direction. By the way the owner lives here and she is a pleasure. Block from the beach 10 minutes from the airport 15 minutes from Plaza Las Américas...Mall 10 minutes to Old San Juan 10 minutes to La Placite Santucre 10 minutes to Distrido TMobile 20 minutes to Piñones beaches... 10 minute walk to local stores, restaurants and bars Very centrally located... and we ubered everywhere for 8 dollars or less except Piñones 17 but that beach traffic is serious..

United States of AmericaFitted sheet on one bed was too small and "popped off" the corners every night. Bathroom was very outdated and quite small. The beds were very soft.
Location! Every thing was easily walkable; from the beach to delicious eats at so many different restaurants. Staff was friendly and welcoming. View from 2nd floor balcony was incredible. The A/C kept the room cool enough for comfortable sleep.

BrazilLots of rules at check in.. lose your key is $100usd! I left mine at reception as is customary most places & they were confused lol.. No coolers in the room.. I expect this is a problem because they don't provide a fridge in the room. No lock box either - it was broken. Lose a beach towel costs.. $$ etc. They will hold $100usd just in case you break any of the rules. As other people have mentioned here, the staff aren't very friendly. They seem to be juggling more than one job however that is not an excuse for being rude & abrupt. Claim to be an eco resort but I think thats just a way to not change your towels daily & save on power bills. I have no problem with that but I asked if they had a water filter so I could fill my bottle daily. They only offered Fiji water or straight from tap. Not hard to install a tap filter & offer guests chilled water for beach instead of $5 plastic bottles
Felt like staying at home with the fam. I was in cheapest (not cheap) room right next to kitchen restaurant & reception. I don't mind the sound of people talking if I'm in my room - the room was spacious clean & had a comfy bed. Everything was quiet when kitchen closed. The location is clearly what you are paying for here - amazing sitting out by the water & yes you can drink your own drinks there so that was a bonus. Short walk to main beach & food places.

United States of AmericaFor the time of year we visited, we couldn’t use the beach in front of the hotel. The waves were up against the wall to the hotel. we had to walk 1 block to get on the beach. Not bad.
The hotel is right on the beach. we liked that there is a restaurant in the hotel and we could walk to local restaurants. The place is rustic and feels like part of the neighborhood. we liked that setting.

United States of AmericaSince this property is a little older and right on the beach I did notice a slight mildew smell, it seemed to dissipate after a while, and there were a few stains on the comforter, other than that they did the best they could and I realize things happen.
The people and location cannot be beat. The tide has readjusted the beachfront aspect of the hotel, but the charm and amazing location remain the same. It was so easy to walk to the beach or local shops, the bar stayed open a little later the night I got there just to get me a drink before close. Nice people, better location, affordable prices.
