There were no issues, we loved everything.

You cannot beat the location of Villa Herencia. The property is within walking distance to everything in Old San Juan.

Tiny room and wasn't sure if the mold on the wall was real or fake just to add to the character. The floor had dirty old tiles (but traditional) so we made sure to keep shoes on in the room and when going to the bathroom.

Very cool old traditional villa in the center of Old San Juan. Fantastic location and a cool authentic experience for 1 night, but probably wouldn't want to stay there too long. We couldn't figure out how to get in at first as we arrived after 4pm and there is no reception then. Our taxi guy couldn't even find the hotel as there is no sign to say it's a hotel. They sent instructions with some codes to open the front door, but we couldn't find the key box to the room at first. It was kind of fun like a real escape room where you have to find keys to open the next room lol. The property was very interesting - if you want an authentic stay, book it! It's nothing like a normal hotel. But I wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of nights. I would want something more comfortable for a longer stay.

Nothing we disliked. Everything was to our liking and expectations.

Location was a central point for us to part from and enjoy what the city had to offer. We also enjoyed the ease of checking in and out.

Shower floor was very slippery - some kind of protection is needed. Also, some hooks in the bathroom.

Lovely old building with beautiful antique furniture. Bed was very comfortable, and shower was terrific! Wonderful, helpful staff. Nice amenities, including coffee in the dining room.

Very old and damp. Upstairs patio etc shown in reviews and ads were quite weathered and in need of fixing.

Convenient location . Architectural significant . Place was probably 100 - 150 year old. And that included the floor tile. Very quaint.

The native frog noises persist through the night. Bring earplugs. Hotel and staff were great otherwise.

There was never anyone at the reception, so checking in and out can be a bit of an issue if you don’t have a phone signal/wi-fi (we actually got help from a stranger on the street to call the staff and let us in). Also, no breakfast, but there are lots of places close by.

Beautiful boutique hotel, everything is charming and the room is small, but comfortable. There’s a jacuzzi upstairs, which was fun! The location is amazing, right in the middle of Old San Juan, so you can do everything on foot! Would definitely recommend.

Hard to find and our instructions to get in came to late for us to load with the service we had on our phones. A very nice local man helped us get in touch with the host so we could get in.

The shower pressure was not the best but its expected in an older building. The terrace was a little too crowded with random furniture and the railing needs to be updated. Its a safety issue - but again its kind of expected in these older buildings.

The location of the hotel was great, very central to shopping areas, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The hotel made you feel like you time traveled, it’s gorgeous and antique with modern touches. Perfect for a little getaway.
