Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It's a little too far to walk into town but there's a great pizza restaurant nearby that I can recommend.
Fabulous place with great views. Feels nearly new. Hosts were very hospitable. Breakfast was excellent

Just the location is a bit far away from the center, but with the car, this is not an issue
It's a nice venue, well maintained and with all necessary comfort. Breakfast is served in the main house building and it has a nice home touch. Recommended.

Very peaceful location. Beautiful guest house-style accommodation, with everything one needs. The room was in a house with a common area and a patio, felt very welcoming. Nice and helpful hosts.

Beautiful grounds. Our two bedroom apartment with the living room was spacious & spotless. Heating worked well. The bathroom was also great & spacious. It had heating as well. The breakfast was fabulous. Home cooked daily. Fresh orange juice, bread, eggs, cheese, etc. Easy parking. Quiet location close to town & main attractions. It was my favorite place I stayed on entire Douro Valley trip!

Large studio room that was well equipped and cozy. It felt like home! Love proprietor who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. And the breakfast was lovely! On top of this we were warmly greeted by the dog and cat!

Huge comfortable verandas to enjoy the vineyard and olive grove views.Great kitchen area to prepare food if you choose to and amazing breakfast. The kindness of the owners welcoming us and accommodating a change of date - this is and ideal place to base and discover this less explored Douro area and you will have a very warm welcome.

This was probably one of the nicest places I have stayed in. We had a room in Flor da Rosa 2 to the rear of the main house. The French lady owner was lovely and obviously proud her home. The accommodation was a separate bungalow in which there were four bedrooms, we had a superb bedroom and shower room all coordinated and very well done. We also shared a lounge and a dining kitchen, fully equipped. Luckily I suppose we were the only guests that night. The decoration and finish in the bungalow was not necessarily all to my taste but it was absolutely beautifully styled and finished, looked straight out of Home and Garden magazine. Although the weather was not great there was a superb outdoor barbecue kitchen very well designed and finished. The breakfast was nice and quite French which we enjoyed. To be honest I could quite easily have moved in and lived there.

A pool would have been nice, but otherwise had everything we could wish for.
Spacious independent modern houses that are tastefully furnished. The views over the vineyards were charming. Overall, we were delighted.

what an amazing place! Very well presented and nothing no was too much trouble. The owners are great and very friendly. Breakfast was supplied in the house and was great. We will definitely stay here again!
