I stayed here 11 years ago and it seems they haven’t invested the necessary resources to keep it alive and vibrant. The upstairs restaurant used to serve drinks and they weren’t doing that anymore; the beds were super uncomfortable; the shower substandard; and the tv was tiny. This was a gem a decade ago and now not so much other than the location and the amazing view.

The location is amazing…arguably the best views in the city and away from the tourist areas except the viewpoint

We were cold at night but found blankets in the wardrobe.No plug in the bath,shower basic and attachment on the wall loose.No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.

Only 2 socets for the charger in a difficult place (not beside the bed). Plumbing was making noises at the night.

No tea/coffee in the room. Pillows were small and not very comfortable- although additional ones were quickly provided upon request. The location on top of one of the highest hills in Lisbon tended to deter us from returning to the hotel during the day.. No variety in the breakfast from day to day.

This was a view with a room. Amazing views over everything, but the room itself was small and elderly, and so was the bathroom. Very convenient for Alfama, steep trot to downtown. Good for one night but I wouldn’t have wanted to be there longer.

No coffee/tea facilities in room. No power points next to bed. Foyer area could be more comfortable as an area to wait for fellow travellers/or to do research tasks away from room. No bar or coffee area in service…amazing top floor restaurant closed-only used for breakfast, needs to open up for more than that - the jewel of the hotel.

The decor is a bit dated and breakfast was quite expensive ( we didn't take it at the hotel since many options nearby).

The room was spacious and had a wonderful view. It's in a great location with nearby restaurants. You can walk down to the main tourist areas or take a tram.

Parking was not included. You park on the street and must put change in the machine. You cannot pay for more than 4 hours at a time and you need lots of coins. Hotel does not provide change.

The view is spectacular. If you can afford it there are 3 rooms with a really large terrace.The room and common areas are really clean and a very nice but ( underused) breakfast room. No water or tea and coffee in the room.

About half of the staff were amazing, the other half were completely burned out and not very helpful. Their ability to communicate and understand English is quite limited.
