Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandOnly one thing that I could see improved and that is the comfiness of the beds/pillows.
The property was very clean, unbelievable location, 10 mins walk to old town, 5 mins to the beach and 2 mins to a supermarket, but far enough that it was quite at night. The pool was also extremely nice with sun all day. Hostesses were also very nice.

United KingdomLack of shade by the poolside and the balcony (sunny throughout the day and can get quite hot during peak summer). Additional parasols would help greatly. Only 1 key for the villa, so need to plan ahead if occupants have different activities.
Location near the marina was great, since most of the activities (cave/dolphin tours, watersport, etc. starts at the marina). There is a supermarket/bakery around the corner from the villa - cheap and tasty breakfast/coffee. Spacious, big pool and kitchen equipped with most amenities (except dishwasher). We brought washing up liquid, sponge, paper towels for cleaning up and clothes peg to hold the clothes down in windy conditions.

United KingdomThe only small issue was one of the bedrooms didn't have a mirror and the doulble room didn't have a wardrobe
The pool area was amazing and had the sun all day. The villa was located in a very quiet area mid way between the Marina and the old town. The hosts were very helpful and linen and towels were changed mid way during our stay.

United KingdomIt is not a villa but top floor of a building - there is another 'villa' underneath it. You can stay in this 'villa' up to 8 am in the morning, and then you really have to leave, because every day at that time building work starts downstairs, complete with electric hammer drill removing structural walls below. Out of curiosity I took a few pics of new cracks apearing every day on walls from the vibration and impact. Then there are no traps underneath sinks in kitchen and bathrooms (see photos), so sewer gases: hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methane and other seep into this 'villa'. You can smell hydrogen sulfide particularly well (rotten eggs) and these gases are toxic for humans. They are explosive as well, but hob is induction and no smoking in house, so all shall survive staying there. I was travelling with my parents and kids, pretty exhausted, wanted a few days off without having to deal with another challenge (I have enough fun dealing with building safety as part of my job), so rather than calling the municipality (it is a violation of building codes), I opened all windows to ensure this toxic mix is ventilated. It was pretty cold (mid April), so not ideal, especially that there were only four blankets provided for guests (it is a six person house), but we survived sleeping there for a couple of days. On day one you need to take a hike to the shop round the corner to get bin bags and toilet paper (one of each was provided, thank you). There is nowhere to take the rubish out, nor anybody removes it, so be prepared to keep this stuff inside for the duration of your stay, otherwise seagulls will rip the bags apart if left outside just like racoons do that in New York or foxes in London. I read great reviews about this villa on booking.com, my kids were happy, my parents were happy to see my kids, that is all that matters, but these missing traps must be installed prior to any future rentals of this place.
Excellent location, pool in front of house and great patio overlooking the ocean at back. Very clean, necessary items in kitchen provided. Awesome grill outside. Parking space, but note if you are renting a SUV/large car you wont be able to close the gate with the car parked in. Every morning at 6 am personnel turns on the jets in pool, you wont miss it, they will wake up your kids repeatedly slamming the metal door to machine room, but not running these jets overninght it is good for the environment, so all good, and, on reflection, waking kids up on holidays as if it was school term is good to keep routine going. The pool is really clean/well kept, I wish it was warmer outside so we could use it at least once during our stay. I am sure it is awesome in summer though!

United KingdomThe photos are misleading on booking.com. shows two different properties, which was one of the reasons for booking. The pool area has no shade in the way of umbrellas.
The Villa was very clean and tidy in a great location. Supermarket was just around the corner and a short journey to lovely beeches and the Old Town of Albufeira.

United KingdomA beautiful villa for a family holiday. Lots of space and excellent facilities. The pool area was superb! The location was perfect...15 minute walking distance from both the marina and Albulfeira town. The shop and local bar around the corner were very convenient.

United KingdomCheap outdoor furniture with no cushions, parasols that don't fit the bases provided so are therefore just useless umbrellas, both shower holders broken, both shower drains blocked, stinking kitchen drain, broken front door handle, tiny rubbish bin, no washing materials provided such as washing up liquid or laundry detergent, and finally rude hosts on arrival, however, they soon changed their tune after I contacted booking.com the very moment we arrived for a partial refund (which was provided so thanks booking.com) - I'd like to say this was the state of the property on arrival and it was bad enough that booking.com provided compensation, if the host replies to this review trying to justify the state of the property take it with a pinch of salt.
The pool, the BBQ, Aircon in every bedroom, the terrace overlooking the marina, just enough crockery/cutlery/pans/pots to get the job done, towels were exchanged for fresh ones frequently and the location is quiet with easy access to main areas.
