Absolutely love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this hotel. I’ve stayed at this property a number of times and have recommend it far and wide. The breakfast is basic but the food in the restaurant is very good for lunch & in the evening. It’s not a posh hotel, it’s a friendly county hotel which is excellent value for money and the views are breathtaking.

There could’ve been more variety at breakfast, only scrambled eggs and not that tasty sausages and a lot of bread and other tidbits but I wish there was a bit more hot food such as hash browns, and other stuff.

We had some issues as our flight got cancelled but the staff members worked really hard to insure that we got a refund for the days we didn’t stay even though bookings.com made it difficult. The staff really went above and beyond and we were super happy because otherwise we would’ve paid for double how much we actually stayed! The pool was nice, the views were stunning and the food portions were great.

It is not that we did not like, but there were several points we were not aware of. All the rooms have the separate beds, big beds are only available in suits, this may be important when you choose a room. Also, our room was on the rising sun side, and the curtains did not help, at 7.30 am we already woke up because of sun. We asked to get the blinders, but, as I get it, nothing can be done. The service for lunch is not very fast, the food is good, but if you are in a hurry, this could be a problem.

The staff is friendly, tries to help with the possible issues.

The hotel is located not in the center of the city but with a car it's easy, there is a parking, so it's great and a restaurant that I try because I didn't want to take my car again. The food and service were very good, so perfect

The breakfast buffet basic hot food , The scrambled egg was cold , no other choice for vegetarians more shade around the swimming pool would be good it was too hot for me to lie on a sunbed.

The bed is the most comfortable we have slept on in Portugal ! So comfy we stayed another night. The swimming pool was good

It's a nice hotel just outside of the village (10min walk), a bit oldschool but nothing wrong with that. Nice swimming pool and a garden and patio. I did not try the restaurant downstairs

A little dated. Everything worked but the guest room and in particular, the bathrooms could do with updating. The hotel is a 10min. walk down a long hill into the small town of Alte. Better to drive down if you have a car.

Old fashioned hotel in wonderful elevated position above Alte with panoramic views. Nice restaurant. Pool and tennis courts. Plenty of onsite parking
