The bed settings are very strict. They should have more flexible bed settings like two single beds can turn into a double bed for example.

A lot of kids in the swimming pool, so it is a nice place for families but not a romantic place to stay. The light in the sitting room of the suite was very weak.

Parking - we used the rental parking, which was very convenient since nearby there was not any place available.

Balcony view also included pool view, which means it can be rather noisy because of the pool-area activities and families with small kids. Mediocre breakfast with terrible-tasting pancakes. Hotel felt overcrowded even during the off-season. Some refurbishment needed, furniture is worn-out. Room lacked informational booklet on the facilities of the hotel and other useful info. Can be hard to have a good eat in the area in the off-season, local restaurants (that are still open) can be all booked/full.

A hotel resort which is very popular with locals, French and families with small kids. Very welcoming staff at the reception. Underground parking (low-lit, dark and scary). Studio room has everything for cooking. Beautiful view from balcony (but wished to live a bit up higher, as room was on 3rd floor).

For the such an expensive hotel I was expecting a better Breakfast. The food at the buffet doesn't have the expected quality.

At the reception desk after telling it was my first time there, no information about parking, map of the site, nothing at all. Just gave me the keys to the studio. So, came back, told me to park in the parking area , having paid €4,05, for nearly 2 hours. Bad service as there were places to park in the streets nearby.

The location is very good, a few minutes from one of the beaches. Breakfast is excellent with everything you can think of. Daily cleaning of the studio was great.Staff of the restaurant very attentive

Noisy - there was a constant buzz of loud leaf blowers and lawn mowers. Perhaps we picked the wrong days. We could not use our balcony. The rooms look like a hospital, bright lights and devoid of any decor or colour.

Bad room service, the hotel was fully Booked but didn't seem to have enough staff to handle it. The towels at the pool are only available from 10-13 15- 18.30 which is ridiculous. They wanted to charge me for the Parking 7.50 € per day, I complaine and did pay, but most people don't complain if you're paying 200€ plus for a room you cannot pay for your car . In general when I'm paying for the 200€ + per night I'm expecting certain level of service that didn't happen .

For the price they asked for , not that enjoyable

You really need a car in order to explore - otherwise you're stuck in one little area. Local buses are helpless. The food was OK but could be better in the hotel - breakfast was good, but dinner wasn't.

Breakfast - very basic, poorly organized, only one toaster, loud chairs, fruit is cut without being peeled, I dont think they washed the pineapples, watermelons and melons, I believe they just cut it and put it in a bowl. Very poor fruit presentation and offer. Staff reorganizing furniture during the night, after 10 pm and need to call reception and talk to the stuff downstairs to stop it at 1 am!!!! The whole tower was loud because of it and those stupid chairs pulling and pushing. No rooftop terrace, no sunbeds at the beach, no proper dinner offer, only buffet, no sauna or spa. Overpriced for what it is. Having our honeymoon we asked for a double room with a double bed, they gave us twin beds separated like 2 meters. When asking for a roomchange, they offered an upgrade for 60+ Euros per night, such a rip / off, especially while out of season and half empty hotel.

Asked for a specially prepared coffe with milk and it was simply impossible... just excuses. The kitchen in our suite was very degraded. Very few silverware. Very old microwave. No oven. Everytime I asked for help it was totally useless.

The building is really ugly, the hotel is massively understaffed so there's no assistance with luggage. Parking is a complete rip-off. Breakfast was awful, as was the supper that we had one evening. Th e activities were very low quality and it felt like being in Butlins. The beds were rock hard, and the air con didn't work properly in our room, but no one was available to fix it. The only good thing was that they refunded me my last 2 days so I was able to leave early!!

The facilities and the hotel are top good. One of the top best quality price you can get in Portugal, but about the service ( the staff is so scarce that they cannot do better) is better not to include in any comment.

Few things were a turn off. We have booked a suite for two nights. And it's a four star hotel, so few things should have been naturally available. 1- the suite did not have a mini bar! And apparently you need to book the suite with kitchen to have a small refrigerator with out the mini bar. 2- bathroom needs more light! 3- room service was available in certain hours and only a very short list; so don't bank on room service! So make sure you bring some things with you as Troia shuts down early. 4- no menu for room service in the room. Apparently they are renewing the menu! That should take more than an hour?!! 5- parking is an extra, even with a suite! Finally I think because the hotel has also a building with apartments for short stay, I believe they treat the hotel the same way!

It's was a nice place to stay in. Nice staff, very helpful. Clean rooms with nice furniture. Breakfast was very good!

At this time of the year there is almost no choice for restaurants in the area. We would have preferred a Suite with a double bed for us, instead of two separate beds. The lamp of the floor lamp on the living room was blown when we arrived. They should be more careful checking these little details. Some of the staff could be friendlier.

Excellent location. Beautiful environment. Our daughter loved the indoor swimming pool. Comfortable beds.

The beds were very uncomfortable and it was noisy in the wind. The hotel was pricey but that was expected. If they sort the beds out it would have got top marks, check before you sleep on them! The boat charges by person and the car, but it was a good service.

staff and facilities, the indoor pool was great and the apartment was really spacious with great views and finally the location is beautiful

Weather was poor. Only thing to do was outdoor pool or beach which niether we could do due to weather. Troia does not have anything to keep kids entertained

Our apartment was too noisy, because it was very near the air conditioning system of the hotel. That was disturbing, particularly during the night.

Good apartment, very close to the beach. Nice pool.

    - the single bedroom doesn't have an wardrobe/closet, the bedside table was broken and the wall was scratched - towels were dirty when we arrived (with stains of eye mascara) - the bathroom floor was not properly clean - the lounge and atrium were cold and unconfortable - the floor from the common atrium in our floor was fool of stains - windows were dirty - the breakfast bread was not fresh, unless from the baguette - the gym was extremely dirty, with old machines and without air conditioningy (impossible to use) -the spa was fully booked, I wasn't able to have my manicure or pedicure made in the weekend - the interior pool doesn't have a timetable for children use, so if you are an adult trying to relax, you probable won't have the opportunity neither in the spa, neither in the inside pool, neither in the gym

Throughout the day there were a few organized activities (fitness workout, pool games, arrow shooting games) with a crew of animators, exclusive to some guests in a group vacation plan (FRAM) staying in the hotel. The crew was very loud, used microphones, music, loud speakers, and would occupy part of the common space (grounds, pool), imposing their presence and annoying other guests who were not interested in participating - overall attendance to these activities was very low, which made it even more questionable.

The location and setting are very, very nice. The rooms and common areas are comfortable, airy, modern, with good layout. Staff was friendly, willing to help
