The location of the hotel is just near the city center. Having a balcony with lovely view was great. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Great value. The breakfast was basic. There was a parking house belonging to the hotel - super.

This was a lovely and extremely comfortable hotel in one of the most stunning areas in Portugal. The location couldn’t be any better - situated right on the edge of the National Park there are hiking trails everywhere and the scenery is simply beautiful. The town centre with restaurants and shops is a short stroll away. Our room had a balcony overlooking the mountain, which was beautiful. It was also very quiet and peaceful with pure mountain air. Great value for money and a place I would definitely go back to.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet. The personnel is nice, especially the owner of the hotel who was very kind and always available to help us with great tips for hiking / nature and typical villages. The breakfast is good in a room with a wonderful mountain view.

Rooms are well cleaned when you first use them, but the follow-up cleanings seem rushed and not really cleaning at all, just towel changing, etc, there's clearly room for improvement in that area. Breakfast could be more varied, either add some bacon, scrambled eggs, etc or if this is not the way, simply add more regional ingredients, chorizo, turkey ham, jamon, etc. Also, the juice, please go with simple natural orange juice instead of SunQuick, that's something easy and it would make quite the difference.

Great place to get to know Geres region and surroundings, the room is big enough for two, as well as the bathroom, breakfast is nice, despite lacking some variety of ingredients, location is perfect if you're going to check the main attractions Geres has to offer. Will be the location to use if and when we get back!

All in all the hotel could need a little bit of a renewal, I kind of felt like beeing in my home area in Germany (the famous HARZ mountains), were everything is still stuck a little bit in the 80th. But on the other side, this has a special kind of charm ;-)

Good, central location to start your visit to Peneda Geres national park. Private parking in a garage. Comfortable room with balcony. Very friendly, helpful tipps from the staff (owner?) for great hiking/swimming spots! I have NEVER seen a greater natural swimming pool on a river side, including waterfall, brilliant experience!! Just ask him!

Nice, clean room with a view down the valley. Breakfast fine. Wifi good. Great tips provided for places to see. Free parking in parking garage very close by. Love this national park with its views and nice walks and could easily have stayed longer.

The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The location was great and only a 2 min walk from the town centre, restaurants, and local supermarket. It was great that you could park your car underground in their private parking area as it ensured that your car was safe. Nice and relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable, spacious room.

Staff could be more welcoming. They weren't rude or anything, but could be more engaging.

In the heart of the village. Close to all the attraction. The breakfast was simple but very very good.

For 3 persons the room was a bit small and with not much space to store your luggage. (we were travelling light so that wasn't a major issue)

The breakfast is quite alright with fruit, home baked cake and a selection of very good bread and amazing jams. The location is not on the main street but directly behind so not so much uphill walking. The hotel has a garage for guests so this is ideal as there's barely any parking in town. The room has a little balcony with very nice view to the surrounding mountains and also the breakfast room allows you to admire the beautiful landscape.

We asked for a balcony and had one in the corner of the house, but the view was still nice. The front balconys are much nicer.

Price quality and location very good. We stayded only one night to do some hiking in the area. Breakfast was fine, just what you need in the moring, cafe, bread, cheese, fiambre, milk, fresh orange juice etc

Just the fact the doors close at midnight and you have to carry the keys with you, but that's not severe.

Location (3min walking from the village's main street) Clean, functional facilities.

Room a bit noisy (for light/early sleepers), and somewhat strange that dinner could online be pre-ordered in the morning, but good restaurants were nearby

Close to village center of Geres, cosy atmosphere (maybe a bit old-fashioned), helpful and friendly staff

Excellent value for money. The staff is very nice, everything in the bedroom worked perfectly (there was even a handy light switch next to the bed that turned off the TV so the standby light doesn't disturb your sleep), and the room, bathroom and even the whole hotel were pristine. Best hotel we've stayed at, and it was very affordable.
