I truly felt like a guest here. Warm-hearted people, a spotless place, and most importantly, all the thoughtful details… Every morning we had breakfast with an amazing terrace view, accompanied by legendary music playing from vinyl records. Each day our table was decorated differently, with local flavors adding a special touch. During my stay I felt wonderful. A high-quality place with soul, a stunning view, and perfect cleanliness. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great location close to bus and train station Close to Lagos town but quiet location. The breakfast was wonderful with home made yogurt, jam and cake- also fresh fruit, cheese, lovely bread , cereals and more- all with a lovely view of the marina and sea. There was a lovely patio with comfy seats- again with views of the marina, and an interesting garden down steps with more seating. Inside, the house was very interesting and we loved the vinyl breakfast music.

Paolo&Cladia were absolutely exceptional hosts. You could feel they put their heart and soul into setting up this beautiful place. Hosts were extremely accommodating, friendly and polite. They made us feel as we were distant family members rather than one off many guests. Rooms were clean&beds comfy. The breakfast was delish, everyday different homemade traditional jams, freshly baked grandma’s cakes, vinyl music, you could feel they were trying to show you their culture to us. We would highly recommend Casa Flor do Mar to everyone who would like to get a true welcoming Portuguese experience.

The room was cleaned thoroughly every day by the friendly staff, which made us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. One small point of improvement would be the towel service, during our 4-night stay, it would have been nice if the provided towels had been refreshed. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we appreciated the overall cleanliness and hospitality.

My mother and I had a very pleasant stay. We especially loved the beautiful views of the harbour and the delicious, home-style breakfasts served each morning - such a cozy and personal touch! The location was also perfect for us; we chose this accommodation because of its proximity to the city, and it definitely met our expectations in that regard.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The location is perfect – just a short walk from the town centre, marina, train station, and bus station. Being so close to everything made my visit even more enjoyable. The breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of delicious options, including homemade yoghurt, homemade jams, eggs, cereals, cheese, fruit, homemade cakes, and more. It was the perfect way to start the day! I also loved the decor of the hotel and our room (we stayed in a suite with a terrace) – everything was comfortable and stylish. The room was very quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. The highlight for me was the terrace, available for all guests, with its stunning view of the marina – the perfect spot to unwind and take in the scenery. I highly recommend this place!

Casa Flor do Mar Lagos is a wonderful gem of a guest house. It’s located just within the walls of the old city, away from the noise and commotion. Facilities are basic, but historic, charming, clean, quiet, and wonderfully positioned within a short walk of restaurants, shops, the bus station, etc. Hosts are amazing and attentive, and breakfast includes a great variety of options (yogurt, fruit, bread, pastries, cheese, meat, cereal, eggs, pancakes, etc. Breakfast is accompanied by musical history and an album of the day (yes, vinyl)!

Breakfast isn’t served until 830am so if you are an early riser plenty of options down the street. No kettle in room. Lights from cars and street so bring an eye mask.

Location was fabulous. Hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was lovely everyday. They went above and beyond providing hot water for tea when asked and a beach towel.
