How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had to drive to breakfast and the spa every morning from our house (winter house) which we didn't expect. There isn't really anything walking distance apart from a pool where our house was which meant driving everywhere. That should be mentioned when you book depending on which apartment you are staying in. Also the kitchen could have been a bit more equipped (more pots, pans, condiments such as salt, olive oil and utensils)

Regarding the equipment, all houses are fully furnished and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Still, we take good note of your suggestions about the kitchen utensils and condiments, and we will keep them in mind for future improvements. Verified reviewAbsolutely beautiful place, the best staff who could not be more lovely and helpful and spoke fantastic English. The weather meant we didn’t get to use the outdoor pools which is a shame because they are brilliantly placed, but the indoor area was great. The breakfast is far too good, we ate too much because it’s delicious! Most drive between the houses and the main village (e.g. where breakfast is) but you can walk it (uphill) in 20-30 minutes. Really great stay. Highly recommend.
I’d recommend sprucing up the walking route between the two sites because that connection should be celebrated, it doesn’t always have to be driven. Duvets for the beds would be good when it’s cold but I get the impression the weather is usually gorgeous! And the blankets did the job. More coat hooks would be really useful too. The house grass area would be even better with sun loungers but there are lots around the pools. Also you need a swim cap to go in the pool (does seem unnecessary) if you don’t bring one you’ll have to buy one for €4.

Verified reviewI did not only like, but loved the view, the peace, the comfort. The main thing that had me sold was the automation around the properties that made everything quick and easy. The main facilities were incredible, but i wish there were more interesting things to do when the weather isn't on our side.
The location from the house to the main facilities was around 2km, impossible to do without a car. I would've loved if we had the option to use one of the cars that the hotel had. We had to take the car everywhere. We only got information about the house/room once we got there.

The fact that our house was 3 to 5 minutes with the car to the reception and for the breakfast too. For breakfast from 10.am they stopped putting more food on the buffet ( breakfast is tikl 10.30am.)

Verified reviewWe stayed in the villa's compound which was amazing. The house was very big, the view was breath taking and we had a private pool (shared with 2 more villas). The kitchen was well stocked for anyone that wanted to prepare his own meals, we eve had a dish washer and a laundry machine. Every thing was spotless, the staff was very helpful and kind.
The encosta houses are far from the village itself where the breakfast and other facilities are and you can reach it only by car. The gym doesn't really exist, just one very old machine which was quite disappointing.

Verified reviewThe facilities, the beautiful views, the good state of conservation of everything (very well maintained), the sympathy of (most of) the staff (especially the staff working in the restaurant)
There was an extremely loud local public party / festival with live bands that played through the night until 2:30am (it sounded like we had a stereo on max volume inside the apartment). This lasted for 2 days, we could not sleep neither our 2year old son. When we asked the property for help and an alternative (the Pousadela Village facilities themselves are far away enough to shield from the music), no support was given, only apologies and a statement saying that the situation was not within their control. What was within their control was: inform the guests when they book the holiday, or, at least, when they check-in; offer an alternative in the Pousadela Village itself for the 2 nights we were affected (a simple bedroom for us to spend the night would have been enough). This situation and the refusal of the staff to help us ended up leaving bad memories of an otherwise fantastic holiday.

All of the staff were great but special shout out to Danillo whose local knowledge and recommendations for hikes was much appreciated. Great conversations with him in English and Spanish . He’s a credit to the team 😍
Breakfast in the main hotel was exceptional and delicious, lots of choice. Fabulous views from the restaurant and bar. However limited choice on the menu for lunch and evening, would have liked more simple traditional local dishes so we didn’t eat there other than breakfast

I think the car park should be better arranged and laid out with spaces marked as come breakfast time it can be quite hectic trying to find a safe space.

Poor road signalisation to get to the village, especially at night time! Our villa was away from the village. No warning was given during the booking that it is extremely difficult to walk to the village, meaning that the car was necessary at all times. Hence, in the evening, one adult could not drink in order to drive back. A caddy service would greatly improve the situation. Not enough hot water at the villa for 4 persons to shower within a similar time window. We heard an animal within the cavity of the walls during the night.
