Claudia is a wonderful hostess. Great info on local hiking, birding, Mertola. Recommended an excellent restaurant for us. Told us about local history. Such a peaceful place to stay and we were lucky enough to visit while rock roses were blooming. So beautiful. Nice breakfast too.

Although out in the countryside, this is a really good place to stay. It is not far from Mertola which is well worth exploring and so are other parts of the area. We had a very comfortable stay including an excellent evening meal.

    Village dogs barking.

All the wonderful help from Claudia. Home away from home. Excellent information about the area. Plenty to do for our 2-3 days. Loved swimming in Guadiana River on the hot days.

Excellent location to visit Mértola and Pulo do Lobo.

Bad lightening and lots of series of slippery steps which makes it risky for young children and the elderly.

Excellent location to visit Mértola and Pulo do Lobo. Quiet and rural, nicely decorated.

    Must visit!

It was really hard to figure out what I did not like. But I found something! I don`t like the negative comments from dorks who found the bathroom "simple" and was expecting Marrocan style dinner in Alentejo (which is in Portugal by the way)

This is a place where we will return back next year. It is located in a small village (around 100 inhabitants) near the only bar where we met with the locals and enjoyed the real Portuguese charm by watching football together with them. The host Claudia is obviously proud of this region and she can help with everything - if necessary, she can make a dinner, if neccessary, she can be a guide. It was really nice that she stayed with us for the whole breakfast to chat about Portugal. Nice to see a person who really loves her bussiness. She even has a handmade weather forecasts by the wall. See you next year!

Rural stay in a friendly household.

The house is very dark and lights are missing or not functioning. There is no airconditioning, the bathroom is simple. We had to sleep with the windows fully open to help sleep in the hot summer temperatures. From the description we thought to get an Maroccan style diner, but we learned that this dinner has to be specifically ordered in advance and it's more expensive than the regular Portugese diner.

For a traveler that seeks a rural setting, wanting to watch the stars without light pollution, this place is fantastic. The owner is very friendly and helpfull. Diner was carefully prepared and fresh. This stay gives you the feeling of being at home in a Portugese household.
