United KingdomThe hotel is stunning and full of historic style and glamour. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent, and the dining room has to be seen to be believed! The location is excellent for visiting Porto as everything is on your doorstep, with the river attractions being a 15-minute walk downhill. There is a metro round the corner, and the main train station with airport links is 5 mins away. The station itself is a must-see venue.The wonderful market is also round the corner , and customers can enjoy a glass of wine and plate cheese or charcuterie as they wander around. A large glass of red wine is 2.50. Euros.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like about this hotel. However I did struggle a bit with the toilet being located on the lower floor of the room down a small spiral shaped staircase as I have a dodgy ankle (suffer with arthritis following a bad break) and was worried about falling when getting up to go to the bathroom in the night. I’m sure if I had mentioned my concerns to the hotel though they may have tried to accommodate us in another room if there was one available but I didn’t ask so that is my fault. Not the hotels.
Absolutely beautiful hotel in a very central location. Perfect for exploring the city of Porto. We were allocated a family room on the ground floor which was based on two floors and was quite obviously recently newly renovated. The shower and separate toilet were located down stairs along with a sofa bed in another decent sized room. The complete room was spotlessly clean and bright. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and consistently topped up so it was fresh and warm.

United KingdomHad a great 4 night stay in a Classic room. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel had lots of charm - we loved the old fashioned feel/decor throughout. Staff were friendly - a specific mention to Mario, the Bar Manager, who was passionate about his bar offering and the customer experience. Hotel was in a great location - everything was within walking distance. Our airport transfer (booked independently) dropped us off outside the wrong hotel. So, make sure to check your location when being dropped off.

United KingdomThe room was very small, and the bed was hard, unfortunately, not providing a good night's sleep. There was an issue with TV reception with virtually no viewable picture. Whilst the hotel did try to rectify this, it was not resolved. We did not come on holiday to watch TV but it is always nice to have the option late evening.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Good breakfast selection. A feeling of grandeur in the public areas including lounges, bar area and reception.
