The location within the compound of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte is spectacular. The view of the sunset and basilica from our room was as good as it gets. The room itself was modern, comfortable and immaculately clean with a stylish bathroom. We particularly enjoyed the pool and sauna in the spa area, the hotel staff were great, parking was easy and the buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

The cleanliness and modern decor. Everything smelled fresh and clean.

Outdoor cameras facing inside the rooms, not being able to see outside through the window at night, and most of all, the fees ubers and taxis had to pay to pick clients up or drop us at the hotel!!!

The hotel itself was very nice with a good breakfast. The grounds are beautiful around a famous religious area. There are nice spa facilities.

It is located very high up at the top of a hill with a very twisty narrow road and gated driveway leading to it. It is not convenient to other activities or taking day trips. It's hard to navigate the road up the hill at night and get through the gate. You pay the fee then get reimbursed at the hotel Lobby.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect and also being waking up by the church bells is a pleasant wake up alarm. The breakfast was also very nice but not for 5 days. Needs a variety I'd say.

I didn't like the wifi connection. Didn't work in my room so making arrangements with the other travelling party was difficult. The spa services weren't working, hot tub didn't work and I kept having to phone to get the sauna steam room turned on. The shower soap dispenser also broke and there seemed to be a strange smell from the air con. If the room smell matched the one in the corridors then that would be amazing.

The location was stunning.

We had to go to reception to get service at the bar. We also had to ask for the steam room to be switched on when we wanted to use it.

The hotel is newly renovated. The rooms are beautiful and the view outside outstanding. There is a spa with a pool and two saunas - Turkish and Steam. The jacuzzi is not really functioning.

The sauna area could be a bit better looked after. There was a lot of water, the glass wall was covered up, saunas would be turned off and would have to ask the staff to turn them on

Next to an amazing park that we could enjoy because the arrival of tourists. Calm, peaceful.

Lack of variety of breakfast. No many options of restaurants around for dinner.

I would recommend this hotel, the staff is very friendly the breakfast was great and the spa very relaxing

The Hotel is amazingly placed within the Bom Jesus surroundings, so by night you almost feel special when everyone else has to leave and you stay there. The room is good, but not to big, but the beds are phenomenal!

The SPA has potential, but needs to be well managed. We’re hoping to have some time to relax and it was impossible with so many people and so many noise. Some rules need to be put in place, because manu customers don’t respect the others. The breakfast is OK, couls be better, but the room gets messy when people come by the end of the shift.

It was in a great location

No explanation even to turn the bed lights off Doors to Wc& shower were glass with holes where the handles should of been, Going to Wc at night coming Bach hit my head on cubbard sticking out, very bad design faults , No draws in room what’s so ever , wooden stumps as tables were diabolical, and fit hardly anything on, Breakfast was not very good had eggs , bacon mushrooms and pieces of frankfurter sausage ALL WAS COLD,reported this, nowhere to have dinner only at another hotel across a courtyard which was expensive and not a great choice, didn’t want to stay a second night so phoned your Custemer services they was not helpful so just had to leave in the morning and suck up the 96 euros would have gone on to a different area but didn’t want to book another hotel with you just to lose more money.so for a 5 star hotel it was terrible,and obviously wouldn’t go back there.

The location is great, right in the middle of Bom Jesus complex. The room was huge, and the breakfast was plenty with reasonable vegan options.

The only complaint I would have is the swimming pool in the spa was a bit colder than I expected. That's a minor thing.
