The bar next door had outdoor entertainment that was quite loud one night we were there. It went in until about 10PM.

The ocean view from the balcony in the room was wonderful. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Maybe it was good in 70's, but needs serious renovation. Breakfast was terrible. Not enough electric sockets, needed to charge my mobile phone in bathroom... poor sound isolation. Bath equipment was in terrible condition. Elevator didn't feel safe.

It is in Portugal. It is near the beach. Cocktail bar and pizeria next door is really great.

Breakfast poor - buffet needs upgrading with better fruit and more local produce, and better tea/coffee service than vacuum jugs of hot water. Rooms small, not for over-size people

Transportation to Selena is poor. You waste a lot of time unless you take expensive taxi.

You are greeted in the room with a terrycloth robe. Hotel is on square next to beach and good restaurant. Matron of hotel the best! As I had an early bus she opened included breakfast dining for me.

The bathroom and shower are very small but okay for a one night stay. The parking is free but public and shared with all the beach goers so we felt very lucky to find a spot.

The location was excellent. The room is very basic but has a view of the water. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants. Our hotel room was okay for one night but you'd probably like to find something a bit larger for longer stays. The breakfast was good with enough options to choose from.

Nearby restaurant, not part of the hotel, overlooking the water was a huge disappointment. Waiters disinterested, reluctant and poor service, almost impossible to get waiters attention for basic items such as a request for salt, very overpriced for the tiny tasteless meal we received. Very slow service. Eat somewhere else, don't let the view attract you.

The curtains didn't block out the light. The hotel is in need of some tlc, particularly the bathrooms which were dated and had cracked tiles etc. The shower head only stayed up in one position as it was broken. I informed staff but the receptionist did nothing and then ignored me thereafter. The breakfast is pretty poor and the breakfast room is small so sometimes you have to queue.

The location was very good, very near the beach. Parking was pretty easy. The beds were comfortable (although do take note that they're not real doubles - singles zipped together)

    Noise/walls too thin

The place was so close to the beach and for the money was a great value. Would give it a great rating. Our only negative was we felt a bit like we were in a dorm room, since the walls where paper thin and you could hear everything in the rooms next to you and every time someone open and closed the doors to walk up and down the stairs it would slam. But don't want to be petty, since Salema is such a beautiful town and this property was a great value for its location. Also the breakfast was lovely.

Toilet leaked water, slight smell coming from shower drain. Really small villa- if thats all you are looking for then Salema is the place. Beach is nice, but the others beaches in lagos are much better. Windy at this location, but its really more of a small villa style kind of town-

Better choose a room on the upper floors to avoid as much as possible the noise of the street. The mattress was wrapped in a plastic sheet, rather noisy and stiff. The structure is old and should benefit from a thorough revamping.

The bedroom, bar and restaurant were all very clean, tidy and well appointed, with breakfast being, primarily, continental (fruit, cheese, meats and yoghurt) with hot scrambled egg (with bacon bits!). The bar sold a good selection of wines, spirits and beers, with coffee and tea available on request. Located almost on the sea-front in Salema, the Hotel was ideally situated for all bars and restaurants and sun-bathing / swimming. The place is in need of updating -- not so much that it undermined our comfort and enjoyment, but it's certainly noticeable.

This modern building, the tallest in this sweet old fishing village, is an unfortunate eyesore from many directions. It is, however, superbly located, with friendly staff, an excellent buffet breakfast, a hopping bar, and terrific views from every room, all for a very reasonable price. The room, though a bit tired, was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a small balcony to sit on and enjoy the ocean sights and sounds.

Heat in the bed room meant sleeping was difficult as air con struggled to cope. The weather was unseasonably hot but even so air conitioner needs to be in a better place and more efficient. Mini fridge would be an asset.

Location. Hotel as focal point eg for drinks before and after going out in the evening. Bartender and other staff all excellent. Cleaning staff thorough.

Thank you to everyone at hotel residential for our wonderful stay. Location is fantastic, sea views from the bed, you can hear the waves crashing from the room. The beach is literally a few steps from the hotel. Breakfast each morning was great a wide variety and plentiful, the staff are so polite and helpful.

-The furniture in the bedroom and especially in the bathroom was extremely old. Further the bathroom was too small. - We didn't sleep well as the rooms were not soundproof. Talking in the other rooms and corridor/toilet flush in the other rooms. - The owner of the hotel was not friendly

    - The hotel was situated close to the beach (2 minutes on foot) - Balcony

This is a very old hotel, with old furniture, old and noisy A/C. The bath is very small, the water was leaking under the sink.

The hotel is next to the beach. The hotel bar can provide a decent variety of drinks for the evening, after returning from dinner. The employees were extremely polite and helpful.

Breakfast was a little poor and a little overpriced for the facilities provided.

Great view to the beach, friendly staff and very helpful in all aspects.

Tiny tv .... But that's not why you're there. Bed fair to uncomfortable. Small bath and shower adequate. Room nice size with balcony though.

Great generous breakfast! Clean, nice bar. $1 beer! Best location, loved the beach beds and chaises as you're facing water.... To the left.... More comfortable. The weather is like no where else.... Always bright blue sky with a soft wind; cool evenings Great area to discover other nearby beautiful beaches as well.

    Internet a little intermittent

It's a lovely simple hotel at a beautiful beach. Very good breakfast and reasonable plus balcony from your bedroom with a beach view. Couldn't have stayed much closer to the water. Car parking easy.

WiFi was only available in the bar and it would be helpful to have it in the room as well.

Comfortable, clean room with a balcony and sea view. Excellent breakfast and friendly, efficient staff. Would definitely return.

1970s vintage hotel, so most items in the bathroom, windows, doors, elevator, were old and needed remodel or change. Just looks beat-up, but it's practical and kept very clean.

Roomy, clean, comfortable and very friendly and helpful personnel. Balcony with pretty good but partial ocean view; good size room, bar at ground floor, easy free parking.

    No Complaints.

View was unobstructed of the beach. In Center of Village. Could easily walk with luggage from bus drop off. Was able to book jeep tour through the desk. Small sitting / bar was comfortable to get on Wifi, good connection.
