Staff were very accommodating. We were travelling as four friends and had internal connecting doors which was great for us. The views were beautiful. The spa was great. The restaurant food was excellent, and breakfasts fantastic. We also had good room service. The hotel is big but it didn't feel it. The singer in the bar on the Friday evening was superb.

Service could be friendlier, our keys of the room didn't work last day, one evening while trying to put the mobile phone to charge, all electricity went down, the shower plumbing looked old

I expected to have a magnifying mirror and facial tissues in the bathroom. It would have been good to also have an electric cattle in the room. Usually spa hotels offer this with some tea/coffee and a bottle of water.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious and bed very comfortable.

Old infrastructure. Boring for children. Lacks imagination and activities. Ugly small balcony. Outdoor pool dirty, its bottom with slime. Far from eveything, you need a taxi for any move. Far from Porto and from the airport.

Friendly staff, clean room and linen, quiet. Nice gym, reasonably good restaurant.

The bar by the outdoor swimming pool wasn't in use during our stay, even though the hotel had high occupancy. The coffee shop wasn't always staffed, thus it wasn't easy to obtain a drink or snack in the daytime. A shuttle to Espinho would be useful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was beautifully maintained by the housekeeping service. Food was plentiful and of a good standard. The spa and swimming pools were impressive and very well maintained.

The only critism we had was that the toiletries and toilet paper were not such good quality as they have been in the past. This was our second stay.a wonderful

The bed and the room was extremely comfy and clean you could not ask for more. The food was excellent and the breakfast was an exceptional selection. The sea views are lovely so nice to wake up to. All the services are excellent and there are discounts on other services e.g. Golf courses, riding available. The spa and massage are out of this world. If you are looking for a relaxing time this us the place for you.

The location is great for people who can walk well as you need to navigate lots of steps around the hotel and too the sea! This should be communicated really! The special built paths on the sea are fabulous and you can walk for miles, the beaches are almost private and lovely sand despite the sea being crazy and not accessible he downside to the hotel is the pool outside and cafe bar during the day, about 1 in 5 sunbeds is broken and no one puts them out or helps you! The cafe opens when it feels like it sometimes after 1:30 and its the only place to buy a drink in the warm that isn't great! The spa is not very safety conscious and although the massage was OK there was no health assessment and they left my husband who has mobility issues alone in the hydrotherapy pool which was dangerous! Finally the lifts open and before you can even get in that close and knock your wrists and twice the lift left us in the dark and we didn't move that was scary! Its not a 5 star hotel by my standards, the only area that is was the bar and staff in there :-)

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful especially the bar staff who were lovely and made us feel very very welcome! Breakfast was continental and plenty of it but some nice hot boiled eggs would have been nice as they only did cold ones, the pastries were very nice and the bread was lovely and fresh along with nice fruit and smoked salmon, the only thing is there was no variety e.g. the same cheeses every day and after 9 days you fancy some change Overall I would stay here again as it peaceful with no too many kids, no mention of having a shuttle as claimed on their site and def not airport shuttle as claimed on booking.com I have an email which states this! Finally the lifts open and before you can even get in that close and knock your wrists and twice the lift left us in the dark and we didn't move that was scary! Its not a 5 star hotel by my standards, the only area that is was the bar and staff in there :-)

Bearing in mind my positive comments above, I felt a little irritated by some forgetfulness of cleaning staff eg towels not being replaced on 4 occasions and the replenishable items eg soap/shampoo/toilet paper were not replaced.

The excellent staffing of the hotel lifted the holiday. The friendliness is natural, in-built. We have already made moves to repeat this holiday, having passed on our compliments to friends/family.

For a five star hotel I would prefer to have cushioned sun beds.

Clean with good facilities and friendly staff. Very good breakfast and a good restaurant. Easy access to the beach. There is a boardwork that can be used to walk to Espinho. There are a few restaurants but the area is very residential.

The small but important facilities in the room are missing - no water boiller or coffee machine, no tea cups, no napkins in the bathroom and not enough place to hang towels and robes in the bathroom. There are not enough plugs in the room to charge elerctronic devices. Also the closets from the inside were very dusty. Many rooms have a view on the parking area.

The facilities of the hotel are great (big outdoor and indoor pools) and the access to the ocean is easy. The spa area is nice, but it is devided by gender, which is not good for couples. Breakfasts are good and special complements to the chef of the restaurant for great dinner dishes! The staff is very friendly.

The only bad thing was the difficult access to the beach from H with the wheelchair, but you have better access if you move around one km.

The small town Espinho is nice for beach walk, with some nice restaurants and then you have Porto city 20 minutes away by car. One of the most important things for my family was the wheelchair commodity for my sister, and everything went well, with a prepared room and bathroom .

Uncertainty about room servicing. The hotel has a room service system where rooms that are being located that day get priority. So if you are staying a few days, your room may not get serviced until some undefined time in the afternoon. However you can ask to have your room serviced earlier, but you MUST ask.

The indoor pool could use a good scrubbing.

This is a really great hotel for a good rest, it is in the middle of nowhere with not much to do near it, Porto is 35 minutes away by train..20 minutes by very expensive ( 30 - 50 Euros) taxi. There are some good restaurants in the little town, and the hotel food is wonderful as well. There was a complaint that the breakfast was the same every day, it is, however, there are so many choices that you can have a completely different breakfast every day, it is up to you. Room service is also good and food arrives pretty quickly and nice and hot. Internet connection is good, the TV has a nice variety of Channels in English and a good sports channel for watching the games. The beds are very comfortable with good pillows. The Spa is good with affordable services. It was very quiet the week I was there, which was very nice. There is a very nice large grocery store " Continente" within walking distance for anything you need or forgot. The beach is beautiful, a bit rocky just in front of the hotel but you can walk down a little ways to the sand. It is more for surfing than for swimming, to get to it you must go through a tunnel and down a boardwalk, which is a little difficult to figure out as the signs to the beach are only in Portuguese. Over all I would stay here again.

Would have liked somewhere outside to sit and drink coffee and beers which wasn't the sun beds. Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Great hotel in a non-commercial area. The staff were great. The large double bed was very comfy. The balcony was private.

Unfortunately, kingsize bed - two beds when assembled. Blanket between two sheets..... Poor lighting. Need for additional electrical contacts next to bed (XXI century - iPad, laptops, smartphones etc.). But... Generally we liked

Beautiful view of the ocean, great breakfast, good service, helpful staff. Large-sized parking, only 15 minutes walking distance of Railway station for trips to Porto. Room large, relatively good internet speed.
