Small boutique hotel, very quiet in the middle of Alentejo, but a 20 minute drive to Évora. Incredible staff, and breakfast until 12:00! What a dream.

A beautiful restored large cottage whose owners took care to every detail, you will find two pools in its opulent garden. Just a small natural road leads to this place so it is absolutely quiet and peaceful. The staff Is very helpful too and has a lot of information about that place. Breakfast is served in a sunny room full of antiques.

It’s not flawless—but that’s exactly what makes it so special. The little imperfections only add to its charm, creating a sense of authenticity and warmth that polished places often lack. It feels real, lived-in, and truly wonderful.

For our first trip to Portugal, we were looking for something truly special—and we found it. This place is a hidden gem at the end of a dirt road, tucked away among orange trees, with just seven rooms and the warmest hospitality you can imagine. Calling it a hotel doesn’t quite do it justice. It feels far more intimate and personal, like a secluded retreat. We stayed for two nights but easily could have stayed much longer. Everything—from the food to the service, the atmosphere to the facilities—contributes to a unique sense of comfort and belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere. Despite having only a few rooms, the property is spacious and beautifully designed, with two pools and a cozy outdoor area offering stunning views. It felt incredibly private; at times we barely saw other guests, making us wonder how such a peaceful experience was even possible. A heartfelt thank-you to Vera and Antonio, who have been with the property for years and are truly exceptional. Their kindness and care made our stay unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back.

Magical place, on an estate down a rutted country lane, remote and quiet with only nature surrounding it. Excellent facilities- 2 pools, lots of shady places to sit and read a book or listen to the birds, responsive staff catering to your every request.

The outdoor facilities were not all very clean, most notably the pool side tables, the fountain, and the walkway to the kids’ pool.

It was a very quiet location with beautiful rooms.

The property is gated, with minimal signage, so we weren't sure we were in the right place. We had to phone to be let in on arrival. (Afterwards we were given a gate fob to come and go as we pleased.)

The property is beautiful and spacious. We were told to pick any oranges we wanted from the trees, which was wonderful. It was private, and the room was comfortable. Would love to return in summer to take full advantage of the amenities (outdoor pools).

This is a unique place. If you need to get away from everything and get a clear head, this is the place to go. You are surrounded by orange trees and flowers. There are two pools on the property. The dinner is wonderful and the waiter is very knowledgeable. We will never forget this place.

We loved everything - from parking in the orange grove to being greeted at the car with umbrellas, to the personalized dinner recommendations when we were going into town, to the art everywhere, to the breakfast each morning, and the beauty and quiet of the property.

Remote unpaved road could be better, but it promoted the remoteness of the site.

With us in 4 out o f 7 rooms, it was like having our own hotel. Great site, remote from the bustle of Evora. Multiple pools, great restaurant, access to the megalith Cromlech dos Almendres, etc all led to a great experience. Friendly, helpful staff.

The only slightly negative thing was the round sink in the bathroom which did not offer good space for our toiletries amd had the faucet control in an awkward location.

We enjoyed our stay at Imani. The secluded location and small number of rooms created a wonderful ambiance while still being close to the sights of Évora. The staff were also amazing. Additionally the public spaces by the pool and back bar provided ample opportunity for our group to gather and enjoy playing foosball, cards, swimming,etc. Lastly, breakfasts were excellent as was the dinner we had. I will definitely return again.

Getting onto the property past the gate was a little confusing. You have to press and intercom and wait for a response before you can get to the estate.

Two wonderful pools, friendly staff, quiet peaceful environment. Restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. Rooms were very nice with a lovely bathroom.
