The interior was classic and nice hotel. And it was full of hospitality, it was very cozy hotel. The restaurant along the river which the hotel taught was also very delicious. I was satisfied with everything.

This lovely old Art Deco hotel has just re-opened after a 6 month refurbishment. The staff were the best we have ever seen - always friendly and attentive, ready to go the extra miles for you, and all speaking perfect English! Breakfast was extremely good, as was the food in the Vogue cafe which is part of the hotel. Rooms weren't huge (would definitely recommend a Superior room) but super clean and well appointed, and the beds incredibly comfortable. If you're planning to stay on a Saturday night, request a room facing the courtyard because there was some noise down the street from a nightclub nearby. However, the location of the hotel is very good. Highly recommended.

Did not like that they wrote for my credit card details advising that they would not guarantee the room when l had already prepaid 5 months earlier. As l was on a cruise l had to ring them from sea to advise these details which was not necessary when l had already prepaid and the phone call was very expensive!!

Beautiful hotel with excellent restoration work carried out. Would definitely stay again

I missed the lack of a table and a coffee maker/tea kettle in our room.

Central location (in the relatively flat section of town called Centro) one block away from representative Aliados Avenue. Attentive, friendly and very professional young staff is always helpful and equipped with good English. You will be impressed with a beautifully restored historic lobby, dining room and staircases in this five star facility. An old fashioned elevator has a small leather couch for fatigued guests returning from steep Porto streets. The hotel describes itself as boutique but is by no means small. It occupies two connected buildings on the corner of two reasonably quiet streets. The courtyard in the back is partially open so quiet rooms not facing the street may have an even better panoramic view of Porto’s orange roofs. The dining room where breakfast is served is worth a king with parquet floors, mirrored walls and chandeliers. In the room, pleasant but not as opulent as the lobby, you will find super comfortable beds and pillows, safe and a good selection of international TV channels.

Shower water pressure could use some help.

The service was outstanding. We arrived late and wet from rain and rather grumpy, and the staff, especially Joanna, did everything in their power to make our honeymoon wonderful, from calling our parking garage and an electronics store to arranging work space for us and our laptops. The hotel was recently renovated and is gorgeous: stained glass, curved staircases, beautiful decor. The bathroom was very modern (de-fog your mirror!) and the double glazing on the windows kept us from being up all night with the FC Porto celebrants.
