Good location within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and sights. Room was a little small for 3 adults but it wasn't a problem since we were out all day.

All was well … even the weather … transports are good a bit slow at times because of public works … it’s a very hilly city, full of interesting and historic places … it’s a good time to visit as one can see the contrast between the old and renovated buildings with all the beautiful architectural details coming back.

Staff most helpful and pleasant. Very clean and comfortable bed, quiet and very conveniently located for what I needed. I always enjoy visiting Oporto … it’s been through a regeneration… work in progress … but very well done.

Rooms are small, but clean. Shower only had a shampoo/shower gel in one. Maybe okay for guys. Not good for two ladies with long hair.

Great location walking distance (with hills) to attractions and food. Hotel had lots of character. Friendly attentive staff on duty 24 hours a day.

The room was very dark.

The location was very good for walking the city and exploring though access was a little confusing and difficult if driving a car. Since the hotel is in an old building without modern updates, our room reflected this. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was the standard European fare was adequate.

Room was perfect , especially the electric cattle, breakfast was variant and abundant , but I suggest if salad (some tomatoes and cucumber would have been an additional like! Hotel is very central and i recommend it .

The hotel is very well situated. The staff at the reception desk is multilingual, which makes the interactions so much easier if you don’t speak the language. The breakfast is extremely affordable with great choices.

The landing outside our room was (could have been) very pretty, but it was always littered with cleaning supplies, extra towels, mops, brooms, etc.

Excellent location, the staff were both friendly and helpful. The room was great, cleaned properly daily, plenty of towels, mini bar/ fridge. Fixed rate taxi to the airport. Avery high 3 star, if the bar had been open a 4 star. Breakfast, plenty of food, scrambled eggs are very good plus good continental, plenty of fruit and cake, good coffee. Breakfast staff very friendly and do anything for you.

The bar was not open

Great hotel with lots of character, the decor in the entrance and corridors is amazing, there is a residents room with large TV to relax in.The staff make this hotel, they are welcoming and stand and greet you and exchange pleasantries about our plans every time as we retrieve our key, creating a warm atmosphere. The hotel is very clean everywhere, daily change of good quality bed linen and towels, the bed was comfortable. The bedroom was quite dark, the windows are soundproofed which work well, but if you want to leave them open at night it can be noisy, there is air conditioning in the room. There is plenty of hot water and the shower wax powerful. We were dissappointed that the bar is not open, they should advise this on booking, as it has not been open for a long time, however there are plenty of restaurants/bars close by. The centre is a 2 minutes walk and it is a 10 minute walk to the main bridge with lots of attractions and shops on the way. The metro to the airport is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel and takes 30 minutes.The breakfast was excellent, plenty of freshly made rolls, pastries, fresh fruit/ yougurts cold meats etc and a hot food option. The breakfast staff ladies worked effortlessly, they were welcoming and friendly, Karl was so happy in her work, she spoke 5 different languages and had time and a smile for everyone. We would highly recommend staying here for friendliness, cleanliness and value for money, we will be back, thank you to all the staff here who make this hotel the place to return to.
