Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesHard to ask for more. The apartment is naturally cooled, but I have not stayed there in June, July or August -- so they may want to put air conditioning on the list of upgrades. It would be super nice to have a Navigente transit card loaded with 10 euros worth of rides as a welcoming gift. Transit is super close -- including the famous old trolley -- but the nearest station that sells transit cards is 15 to 20 minutes walk away. Again, this is a suggestion, not a complaint. It is up 15 steps in a super traditional old Lisbon neighborhood apartment complex. It's not a knock, just a head's up that the unit is not at all suitable for people with disabilities. And it may not be ideal for those that have trouble doing steps -- though all of Lisbon is hilly and has alleys that become steep staircases, so if you're up for the city, you should do fine with Lisbon Nest.
This was my second time staying a week at Lisbon Nest and the third time at a Nest property in the perfect Lisbon neighborhood of Graca. Valeria is a wonderful point person. She keeps in touch via text/whatsapp, meets you the second you leave your rideshare and saves your neck when you misplace the key. The property is big enough to live in year round. It has everything including a big kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer. Everything is clean and spotless. I slept like a baby. You can hear the neighbors just a tiny bit, but it's a very quiet property for an increasingly loud and bustling city. The recommendations they give are amazing. I never would have found world class restaurant Estamine and many others in the area -- without their book of prime suggestions. Considering that this nearly 400 SF home is often priced below the cost of a barely more than 100 SF hotel room -- I would say book it every chance you get. Bedding is super comfy. They have thought of everything -- including a trio of space heaters for those chilly spring nights on the highest windswept hill of beautiful Lisboa. One other thing to note, the apartment is in an old, traditional building -- but everything is super modern and updated inside. Expect warm water in the shower and appliances that are almost brand new.

CanadaCannot say too much. Slept well but the bed is not the best, and could be a better mattress.
Location is great! Easy access back to the unit when you are tired and down town as the mini cable car just about drops you off. Saves the end of the day walking back up hill.

CanadaThe shower had a drainage problem during our stay.
Communication with the host was great. The location is excellent, good restaurants and shops and supermarket very near. The flat is very quiet and well equipped. The neighbourhood is very appealing, away from the mass tourism in some areas of Lisbon.

HungaryCan't really find anything. If I had to call out something, the bed mattress wasn't very comfortable for us, but we understand this is subjective and others may find it ok.
Very friendly and hospitable hosts. They were at our service, available via Whatsapp and phone for any questions. Got useful information about the area, recommended restaurants and places to visit, etc. The apartment is nice, cozy and clean - no complaints. We even got a welcome plate of fruits and a bottle of Portuguese red wine. We don't drink wine, but still appreciated the gesture. :) Not an issue for us, but be aware there are a few steep stairs to the 1st floor where the apartment is located.

United StatesThere are stairs to reach the apartment. They are steep and narrow and might be an issue for older people and those with a disabilities.
The apartment was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Valeria, our host/manager was very friendly, kind and helpful. She speaks English in addition to other languages. The washing machine on site was a nice addition.

AustraliaThe location, even though in a great area, is a bit far from the fastest public transport in Lisbon - the metro - you gotta go downhill for about 15mins to get to it. It’s also a pain for Ubers to get there. The bathroom needed more places to hang towels and put toiletries on - they made the most of the space in the rest of the apartment, but not in the bathroom. The lack of a/c on hot summer days was also an issue, and the fans just didn’t cut it.
Our host Valeria was fantastic, always ready to help with anything and super friendly. The apartment was very tastefully decorated and they managed to put almost as many essentials as possible into a considerably small apartment. The bed was very comfy. It’s very near some of the best lookouts in Lisbon and the Graça area is fantastic for eating, drinking and getting lost in the little streets of this part of old Lisbon.

IsraelThere was a tiny issue with the hot water but there's an electric boiler in the kitchen that tells you how much hot water you have left and it heats up quickly...
The apartment was super cute, in a lovely neighborhood very close to the center, which is rare in this huge city. The hosts were very nice and helpful, they welcomed us upon arrival with wine and fruits! and contacted us during our stay to check if everything was fine, they also gave us recommendations for Lisbon. I loved the cute kitchen, the apartment had everything (including a laundry machine, which is very important!) I would definitely recommend people to stay there when they travel to Lisbon.

United KingdomIt was beautifully decorated and a lot of thought had gone into what you would like from a short stay apartment. We really appreciated the nice touches for welcoming us - bottle of red wine, large plate of fresh fruit and little bag of chocolates on towels in bed. Great communication and information before and at our arrival. Loved the expensive coffee maker - freshly ground coffee every morning. The area had good shops and cafes with lovely food and there was an old tram stop at the end of the road.

CanadaCan't think of anything we disliked. Maybe the metal stairs to the second floor entrance which could be slippery when wet but there was a handrail..........and anyway, one shouldn't drink so much wine that they can't navigate a few stairs. We did not have a car. But parking in the area would be problematic. We used Uber and had great inexpensive service.
Cannot say enough GOOD about this apartment. It was clean & quiet and in a safe district. Had amenities like washing machine, dishwasher, fancy coffee maker, etc. as well as all the necessities. Even a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit basket. We were within walkig distance to tram & bus lines as well as a grocery store and many restaurants. Staff at stores mostly spoke English and were very pleasant. The apartment had been recently decorated and a feature that I think was GREAT was the use of recycled blue Portuguese tiles in the shower............what a great idea ! See pic.
