Francisco and his wife met us at the apartment when we arrived and they were exceptionally gracious and kind. Francisco showed us everything we needed to know about the area. There is an outdoor restaurant next door that was a great spot to pick up a quick bite and drink.

This place is a hidden gem in Porto. A fantastic little apartment, that is in a perfect location to explore the city. Francisco was a great host, very accommodating. The apartment itself has everything you need, and a nice balcony that overlooks the river. No Air Conditioning but a fan is provided. We stayed in August and it wasn’t too warm at night, so didn’t need to use the fan. Having the balcony doors open for an hour or two before we went to bed was enough to keep the room cool. The apartment is situated on a road that is quite busy so there is some traffic noise at night, but manageable to deal with.

I loved everything about this accommodation. Francisco and his wife were wonderful hosts who made sure we had a great stay. They welcomed us with red wine and prepared the room for early check-in which was much appreciated. The location is great - you're super close to the centre of Porto and if you like jogging, it is exactly 5 km to the lighthouse along the river. The room and bed were very cozy, the bathroom extremely clean. Despite being close to a busy road, we didn't hear the noise. It was so nice to stay in a typical old Porto house, and we would definitely stay there again.

The main road is just a few metres away so it is not a quiet place. The owner will provide you with ear plugs but it will not help much. You can get a good night's sleep but if you are light sleeper expect to have an early wake up due to the traffic noise. No air conditioning, which could be a real problem in very hot days. There is a fan at the room but I am not sure how helpful it will be on very hot days.

The room is situated in a 3 story building and it is very nicely renovated and very comfortable for 1 person. You can walk to the Dom Luis bridge or the Bento train station in about 20 minutes. The port wine in the room at arrival, was a nice touch. Easy transfer to the Campanha train station with bus, bus stop is right outside the apartment. Overall, a good place to stay.

Stylish, well-equipped apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is very central and convenient, and the host was friendly and responsive. The only downside was the rather noisy street, especially in the evenings during the weekend. Otherwise, a great place we’d happily return to!

I have nothing to comment in this section as Francisco kept in contact from leaving the UK to landing at Porto Airport and getting our transfer.

Our host, Francisco contacted us prior to arrival to arrange the time to meet at the apartment and as our flight was delayed, we kept him up to date with regards to the transfer from the airport.

Maybe the stairs inside the room to go to the upper part of the apartment are a bit uncomfortable. Fine for young people but can be difficult to climb for the others

The location was perfect. Only a 10 minute walk to the port. Most powerful shower, which was great. Francisco and Monica were the perfect hosts. Always assisted whenever we had questions.
