Looking a little tired. We ended up with 2 single beds which were soft & squidgy. Annoyed that they wanted to charge us €4 a day for a umbrella at the pool. There was also a charge for the safe in your room. A male member of staff who served us at breakfast was very rude to me when I asked for ketchup, throwing his tea towel down onto the counter after keeping me waiting for several minutes, even though he saw me standing waiting.

Rooms were perfect, very clean. Nice to have your own kitchen & living room.

Old musty & dirty. The mountain view is actually a view of the building site of the new savoy that is being built directly behind the hotel. The work is so noisy you cannot even have the doors open and the curtains must be closed unless you like half a dozen workmen staring at you. Once built you will have all the savoy guests looking directly into your room from their balconies. The shower cannot be adjusted so you either get it blasting in your face or hanging limply against the wall. There is black mold all around the shower which is so small you can't turn round in it without getting the nasty cheap curtain clinging to you. We asked to be moved but were told the hotel was full. Each day for 8 days we asked but it was always full. Strange that there weren't many people around so we asked a member of the breakfast staff who confirmed that they were not in fact full for that week. Drinks and food overpriced and the surrounding bars & restaurants offer much better value & quality. Breakfast is the same every day and poor quality. We were here from 9th-17th September 2018.

The pretty breakfast terrace and pool area. Close to port. Direct access for sea swimming from steps cut out of concrete mooring area.

Maybe the room needed a 'lick of paint' - a little updating - but that's a minor thing! WiFi throughout the hotel would be good, as currently it is only available in reception and at the pool. No other issues.

Great location. The town centre (and lovely old town) was a 15 minute walk away with restaurants and bars close by - perhaps a 5 minute walk. The last 200 metres, coming back from the town, is a heck of a steep walk. I enjoyed it but the less able-bodied, may not. Huge room! Three of us had loads of space. Could do with a little updating, perhaps, but I believe that this is planned. It was clean, it had a great view and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well keeping the room cool - for a good night's sleep. There was a kitchenette in the room, which we used but it had no tea and coffee facilities, so bring your own teabags and coffee, etc. (There's a small shop behind the hotel where you can get this) Breakfast was a buffet, at the pool bar. and you really could 'fill your boots', if you so wished. And the pool was very good - looking right out to sea. Oh, and the TV, well you could get UK channels on it, which is handy, if you're from the UK, of course, like me. :-) Overall, really great value for money. No complaints from me! I'd go there again.

Service in the hotel, especially in the restaurant, was below all standards. The staff was unfriendly, even rude, hardly answered the questions or looked at clients when asked something. Not a single smile during the week. Internet access only in the restaurant. Safety box key had to be picked up from reception ( lift-bridge accross the street-another lift), against 10€ payment. No information sheet was given on arrival, everything had to be asked separately. Walls and corridors called for paint. Only one lift to te only resraurant for the entire hotel!

The location is great. Ocean view great. Direct access to the ocean and the pool excellent. Breakfast by the sea a great way to start the day. Short distance from anything you could think of excellent.

Some staff unfortunately were aggressive in their approach to us, when we asked about a courtesy bus to the airport. a) There is a huge amount of building noise at the rear of the hotel. If you are staying in a room at the back of the hotel you will not be sleeping after 8am (except on Sunday). This building work must have been going on for at least a couple of years. We should have been warned. b) It's a very long walk from your room to the swimming pool / breakfast room (across a roadbridge too!). 10 flights and 2 lifts in our case.

    The location.

The room was stuffy, no air and aircon not working despite being promised would be fixed. There was a major building construction site taking place 10 meters from the room windows, impossible to sleep after 8am and noise constant until 8pm. The hotel pool area is an extremely poor standard. The walking areas around the pool are impossible to walk on without footwear! It is a hard gravel surface. There is no natural shade anywhere in the pool area. The hotel charges 4 euros a day for use of it's own umbrellas to its guests!! The sunbeds are extremely old and uncomfortable. To get to the pool area and restaurant from the main hotel is a mission with taking 2 lifts and crossing a main road or via footbridge.

The staff were ok, the location was good.

There is some noise especially in the night resulting from the nearby street. Some cars and motorcycles are running with very high speed the hill down in front of the hotel. So you have to be very carefully if you want to cross the street here. Some more police controls on this street would help a lot.

I have been with family in this accomodation (4 persons - two boys aged 16-18). The sofa bed has been too small for the boys but the hotel helped us without any problem with extra matresses on the floor for the boys. The staff is really one of the best I ever met. They also helped us to organize a small birthday party for my oldest son with a cake and a text written on the cake. The sea side swimming pool and the breakfast location thereby had been great. I really appreciated this hotel much more than exptected before. The appartment balcony is really a big one for 4-6 persons without any problem with a perfect view on the sea. The breakfast athmoshere is fantastic close before the swimming pool under the flowered wooden mini-roof.

The fact that there was a main road that divided the hotel from the restaurant, pool and sea front. Quite noisy as soon as you opened the french doors to the balcony. Hotel looks a bit tired and dated and most of the other guests are aged 65 plus. The info pack could use more local practical info such as where the nearest supermarket is and the opening times.

The room was a good size with a nice sea view. Pool area was nice but pool a bit cold, only 1 degree warmer than the sea.
