The room was a bit small, bathroom functionally okay and clean, but do not expect anything on the high end.

Jakozzi, close to beach, goodnlocation, clean. The garden is nice, access to enighbouring building pool. Service was a little direct, but professional, to the point and we got all the information we needed.

Would have been annoyed if the place was fully booked and we had to sleep in one of those two ground floor units only a few feet from reception.

Location is perfect overlooking a beautiful beach down below. Hot tub is great with beautiful stars overhead. Concierge placed us in one of the two ground floor rooms which was too loud (can hear everyone coming in and out; probably fine if you’re a heavy sleeper) but he kindly moved us to a second floor room and we slept great. Breakfast was top notch and can eat outside even in the “winter”. Sagres has such a great vibe and this place was no exception.

Hotel is not quiet. You constantly hear doors to rooms slamming. No way to close them quietly. Would be much more pleasant if they could fix that problem.

The (cheapest) room was rather small. It had no kettle.

It’s really clean and well managed. Some rooms face the sea and have a balcony. Others are smaller and face inland, these are cheaper but a bit cramped. But they have a fridge and good beds and linen. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was so humid that there was condensation everywhere. Our heater did not work and the wifi never worked.

We had to ask for a kettle, there were no facilities to make tea in our room. No cups supplied.

After a few weeks travelling and having apartments with large balconies it was a bit of a shock to end up in a room with only an opening Juliet balcony. When we got settled and explored the hotel and grounds more it was not an issue (note this was a budget room, other rooms have sea views and balconies) There was a lovely Continental breakfasts in the morning and no rush to move us on. For this basic room it’s a good night stay to explore the town, it will a bit cramped if it’s bad weather and you’re there for longer.

Kindly update your toiletries selection; I strongly recommend the owners to transition from single-use toiletries to refillable options. A small investment in shampoo and conditioner would make it 10/10

The sea-view rooms offer the best experience at the property. You can witness the breathtaking sunrise from your balcony and fall asleep to the soothing sound of the sea waves in the background. Additionally, there's a wonderful garden providing direct access to the beach. Highly recommended.

Charming property in a great location. The view from our room was spectacular. The deck was an added bonus. The grounds of the property are outstanding with many chairs and umbrellas, all with a great view of Mareta Beach. Parking is difficult so if at all possible park and then walk everywhere. Adjacent sister property has an excellent coffee cafe.
