breakfast was excellent with good choices and great coffee the location is very good with the bus station only a five minute walk away and the historical town centre a few minutes in the opposite direction the room was lovely with beautiful original features together with a modern bathroom and a quirky window area the hotel is full of arty touches and bespoke furniture and ornaments all the staff were very friendly and helpful

Nice location nearby the beautiful city centre streets. Comfy bed with lot of pillows. Beautifull building with nice art decoration. Breakfast was fine. The heating was sufficient, just missing it in the bathroom.

The big drawback, and one that will make me consider quite carefully whether I stay there again, is that the check-in time is very late--3:30 p.m. With the rather unfriendly transportation schedules in northern Portugal, this can be a real hardship. Be aware that breakfast is generally not included, nor is there a mini-refrigerator in the room--unlike anywhere else I stayed in northern Portugal.

The hotel is very well-located. The room, good and functional with a better-then-decent bed. The property in general is decorated quite attractively.

What a nice surprise! Excellent location, near from the town center and to the major touristic interest points. Easy access to a nearby car parking. Nice decoration .Very comfortable beds. And most of all, the staff was very helpful and sympatic.

Need better pillows. The pillows on my bed were whimsy and lumpy. Like they cut up foam and stuffed the pillow casing. Not the only hotel that had this sort of pillow. Also, I didn't opt to pay for breakfast, but they should still offer free coffee in the morning. I had to pay 4euro for a coffee.

The room was clean and spacious. Looked like photos, but maybe even nicer in an old building with some character. Quiet on the most part, with very helpful staff. Bed was fairly comfy, but the pillows were whimsy and lumpy.

The hotel being in an old house has no elevator, so if one has movility issues is worth to check with reception which floor they will assign you.

We loved the hotel just next to the Centre of Guimaraes, we nice attention and we loved the deal with the nearby Parking, for a small price one can leave the car. Bed very confortable and very affordable breakfast.

There isn't an elevator and carrying luggage upstairs was a little difficult.

The room is small. There is no elevator, so it is very difficult for elderly people to climb up to the fourth floor carrying heavy luggage.

Possibly the steep stairs for older people like my mother, but to be honest, it's part of the charm of the building. Again, for the price, it's hard to complain.

The location, the setting, the price, all these are hard to beat. You're basically in the center of the city, or very close to it, for a value that is hard to beat. I highly recommend the stay there. The staff was kind and very helpful.
