The pool was too cold to swim in which was a shame as it’s so inviting.

The property instantly appeals a mix of modern design with plush furniture and antiquities. The pool area is stunning with big comfortable sun beds. It’s a short stroll to the city square and the parking at the hotel is a real bonus. Breakfast was great with a big selection.

    Absolutely nothing!

The hotel was absolutely lovely, with beautiful furniture and immaculate presentation. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were extremely clean and spacious. We had a lovely big balcony that overlooked the pool. The breakfast was really good with a lot of choices, both hot and cold. The location was great, within walking distance to the centre of town and close to lots of restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel in a lovely setting a short walk to the historical centre of Evora. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds and swimming pool with terraces etc., also looked lovely, although unfortunately it rained all the time we were there so we were unable to enjoy them. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, usual buffet style. Plenty of fresh fruit and fresh orange juice.

This is a large hotel popular with large bus tours, which does affect the experience for the independent traveller. Room cleanliness was outstanding, but breakfast buffet was not well maintained, area not cleaned, dishes not removed, offerings not promptly refilled...not up to standard for the rest of the hotel.

Hotel is uniquely situated within the historic city walls of Evora. The grounds , terrace and pool area are beautiful and very relaxing.

It was too cold (60 degrees fareinheit) to swim in their outdoor pool!!!!

The facilities were clean and offered a bar and restaurant in addition to breakfast included. The room was very nice, overlooking the city with exceptional views. The breakfast was probably the best we had in all of Portugal and it included sparking rose wine from the area!! Under ground parking was tight, but that is typical- don't bring a big car. I would have liked a sauna, after the plane overnight, but this hotel is a 4 star so they only have the outdoor pool, ( closed in winter).

Very quiet, not too many tourists at this time of year, and it's off the main tourist routes. It has records of early Portuguese explorers, so several days could be spent visiting the archives- including Vasco de Gama.

The only little thing I could argue is the bathtub, since its water drain was placed quite low in the tub and you weren't able to keep it filled completely. But that is not the only tub like this I came across in Portugal - they probably like these half-filled tubs :-)

Great value for the money (58 euros in mid-november). Very nice architecture of the room and the hotel itself. A very good location. A balcony with view on a huge lit-up grass field in front of the famous city walls. Nice and quiet in the room. Very uncomplicated check-in / check-out and a very good underground parking lot. It really felt like a upscale four star-hotel. During my 7-day-stay in Portugal, this was the best hotel out of six others.

Nothing. The weather was incredible hot, but this is not the hotel's or Town's fault

The hotel is fantastic, next to the medieval town wall. Great park and very nice and clean pool in the garden. The dinner is good, althought the menu card is not too long, but worth to chose the 4 course menu and local wines. The downtown is only 200 meters from the hotel. Narrow cobbled streets, small places, medieval churches, attractive restaurants. We were here in July, I do not suggest this for other turists, it was 40 degrees. Try Évora spring or fall.

Better not to have heavy bags, because there are some steep stairs and no lift. They don’t have a front desk that works all time and ask for an arrival time, what can be a little inconvenient if you are traveling and don’t have an exact time to arrive.

Very nice apartment in a well located vicinity. The young girl at the front desk was helpful and friendly and there was a courtesy glass wine and a “pastel de nata” waiting for us at the kitchen table. Nice touch!

Staff and service were average - had to wait an hour for a beer but the pool, nd only received it having asked three times and then going into the hotel to get it. Didn't even receive the beer for free, they didn't forget the bill three minutes later! Reception staff were similarly disinterested. Service doesn't seem a priority at this hotel - dispite the price tag! Wifi doesn't work in the rooms - again disappointing given the price tag.

It would have been useful to have an iron and ironing board in the room to freshen up the clothes that had been in the suitcase for a couple of days.

The hotel is lovely and well situated inside the walls of the old city. The staff were very welcoming. Very easy to walk around and discover the many sites. The pool area was very nice and we had a view of the city walls from our room and balcony. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and a trip to Evora. Underground parking was available at a reasonable rate. You do not need to take the car out in Evora, by foot is the best way to discover the place. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable, even with bacon and eggs on offer.

Staff very helpful getting us a guided tour outside of town. Very prompt & efficient. Great underground parking so you didn't have to worry about your rental car. Very delicious breakfast included in the stay. Clean & spacious rooms.

They've put two single beds together, but we could only stay in one of the sides of the bed, because a big hole was created in between both beds every time we tried to get closer.

    Everything except by the bed.

We have stayed in Evora before but this was our first stay here. What a charming hotel, full of character. It has a beautiful poolside which would be a great bonus when the weather is slightly warmer and also lovely gardens. Most impressed with the simple stylishness of the bedrooms. Highly recommend.

Some of the younger staff members didn't really know what to do... The reception was terrific but the younger bar staff didn't understand what 'service' is. For instance, in the lounge, I had to get up to order and get my drinks at the bar (there were two girls bartending and watching TV), I take the drinks to my table, come back to re-order, wait to get my drinks, take them back, then go back to pay the bill. Gimmie a break!

We really liked the hotel, it was genial and very comfortable as well as charming and nicely decorated. The pool area and garden was great. It was close to the town and all the sites. The breakfast was very good and they had a big menu to choose from. We can very much recommend this place!

Rooms are a bit dated, but nevertheless nice and comfy. Not very sound proof - we were on the first floor and could hear any step and suitcase rolling from the room above, and the maid shifting beds around 10am sounded like the ceiling comes down.

Staff were extremely nice and forthcoming. Breakfast very good, with fresh fruits and eggs in a nice breakfast room. Pool looks great and is very large - unfortunately we were a bit early in the season and couldn't use it.
