The hotel itself seemed to be old. Looks like It used to be a quite a good hotel in the past, but the much of facility is in the old days and needs renewing.

The staff was very kind and fluent in English.

Hotel has not painted for decades (decoration from 1970). They even do not offer iron! It was so difficulty to open the door lock with key. No proper lighting in the room. Very noisy. TV 20 inches and 2,5 m high. This was the worst 3* hotel where I have ever been.

As I said I missed a small safe for passport, valuables, and jewelry. A refrigerator, a treat like a facility of having the provision of a water and or a soda. On the plus side, everything was perfect.

Very quiet, attentive staff, polite and helpful, The room comfortable and with enough space for my expectations, I felt lack of a safe so I could leave my belongings and valuables, I also missed a refrigerator for it, because at night I wanted to take on water and had no place to leave it to mantle at the temperature that I believe to be ideal ..

Very old furniture, no renovation since many years. Bathroom very old. Hotel advertises 3 stars, but inside on the floor plans you can see that it has only two stars, which is definitively more appropriate. Overall, rooms are clean.

A Spartan room. No need for more than that. The pillows, though, could improve somehow.

Location. Side by side with a nice park facility. Close to the Antas neighborhood. Walking uptown from Avenida Fernão de Magalhães across many lovely old stores and bakeries and restaurants you get to Praça Marquês de Pombal (a lovely place on its own) and then downtown to major touristic attractions. Fair price (a constant in Portugal, especially here). A lovely modernistic building. Walking in this part of Porto provides a very touching, remarkable experience.

Hey,this hotel had it's moments, but they are long gone. However, the staff is doing it's best(they are really,REALLY, helpful)with whatever you need. The rooms are worn out(stains on the carpet, old furniture),but clean and cleaned constantly. For this price it's really ok,as it took us 20 min (with baby car) to get to the city center. And a bottle of (small) beer at the hotel bar for 1,5 € quarantees a good night sleep:)
