The hostel was cheap so I had low expectations but it was definitely not clean. The tiles in the bathrooms were painted over and the paint peeled off leaving a moldy situation. The cleaning crew scrubbed and tried to clean everything but it's too old and needs a renovation.

The location is great. Good neighborhood with good restaurants and some bars. Feels safe also for solo travelers and is close to everything.

The bathrooms on level 3 werent great. The shower head fittings were too high, so it meant when you turned on the water all your belongings would get wet and the second shower space you couldnt even connect it to a fitting so I had to position the shower extentor over my shoulder to prevent from spraying water everywhere.

I arrived during the power outage and was able to communicate with reception thru whatsapp. Even though most services were down, they were very accommodating and helped where possible while I had restricted internet service. Once the power was back on, it was great. The hostel is located in a great part of the city and its so easy to get around. There are heaps of great cafes and restaurants at an arms throw.

Kitchen was small, i dont cook so not a big deal for me, they only have a microwave fyi. My Bunk bed mattress too thin, hollow and they could maybe look to add curtains on the beds as that is becoming standard now in hostels.

Perdo, the host is super helpful and look to make your stay enjoyable. If not for him might be a meh experience, but i did enjoy having him around as company and watching movies when i was in the living room. Location is great in the old town. Bathrooms are decent for hostels.

"Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not as expected. I had an issue with the receptionist, who was not polite and did not handle the interaction professionally. I hope the hotel management works on improving customer service and training staff to be more courteous. While other services might be good, the first impression is very important."

I can’t tell about the dorms, I stayed in a double room. The room was definitely old and not refurbished for a long time… there is a strong smell of mold pretty much everywhere. Maybe that s why the place did not feel clean. A lot of noise came from outside at night, at least in that room.

The guy at the reception is very nice, the reception looks nice. The location of the property is great. I payed little money for a private room with private bathroom.

The noise coming from the nearby pubs was overwhelming. It was impossible to get a good sleep with so much noise. The hostel is located in the heart of the night-life area.

Check-in was OK as I arrived past office hours. There was a housekeeper to hand me the room and the locker keys. The kitchen was open 24/7.

No curtains :( somewhat hostile older dude who seems to live there for longer and made me feel very unwelcome while using the kitchen (no stove also). On one other note: I was put in a room as only female with 7 men, half of which where drunk. I just want to give the input to the staff that especially for very young girls I hope you can take that into consideration in the future and have a nonautomated look at your booking software and think about safety and wellbeing of guests :)

There are too many stairs. If you have bad knees or injured legs / feet, this place is not good for you.

Gets a little loud at night with street noise from restaurants and bars so earplugs are a must. No soaps in bathrooms and a gas cooker in kitchen would be great instead of a toxic microwave

The only short coming was the lack of a kettle in the kitchen. As an early riser, the lack of coffee was difficult for me (I carry instant as a last resort). There was the bottom electric part of the kettle but not the kettle itself. Probably someone had taken it to their room and it was not the fault of the hostel.

Filipa greeted us and was great! We stayed in a private room with a bunk bed. My 80 yo mother slept on the bottom bunk and was happy as can be. The room and linens were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The price is really good.

Big Room is Near Street. Cant close windows because of many people, so it will be loud. Beds are good, but im 205cm (6‘8“) and 125kg so it wasnt as comfortable as it will be for average size people. I had Backpain after one night, but as i said, beds are good for average size people.
