Lucky weather allowed us to be out most of time, but nothing in hotel or common lounge to spend time other than bedrooms. The distance from seafront was about 1000mtr uphill. ok for younger guests.

Croissants tough, Double room has 2 single beds placed together with separate bedding. Very basic bedroom with dull lighting. warm country but bare floors. Good that bedding changed every second day and ample towels in bathroom. View from window a dull building and about 4 mtrs away. This was a 3 star hotel. views from dinning room spectacular.

Could not criticise this hotel. We had a great stay & recovered well from a difficult tiring journey.

Very comfortable beds. Rooms were extremely clean.Hotel close to centre of town, yet really quiet. Relaxed atmosphere at breakfast--loved the pastries & the walnut & raisin bread was a real treat.

Popular functional, clean hotel in a good central location with easy access to all bus stops, waterfront and historical center of Funchal. Roof terrace with good views of the town. Friendly staff and good breafast. Would recommend for a short stay to visit Funchal.

no Fancy view but not a real problem. I have not been able to get a good WiFi, I was connected but unable to load pages, too weak. ( as it was already late when I tried I didn’t ask to the reception for help, so can’t blame them, maybe they would have a solution)

Very nice lady at the reception, very helpful and good English. Large bedroom, large twins beds, large bathroom, all very clean, nice and comfortable. Modern heat/cold system. Complete silence at night ( Saturday, carnaval...but super quiet in the street and inside the hotel. A balcony with 2 chairs and a table, always nice even if there is no “view” because the location. At 5mn walking from the cathedral. If you missed the breakfast, you have a coffe place just in front. They keep your luggage in secure place after your check out until the time you want.

The cooked/hot selection for breakfast were not very hot. Or tasty. All the other stuff was fine ingredients

View from the roof garden was tremendous. Room was spacious and airy with a balcony and choice of TV channels was good for Funchal.

Problems with my sisters airconditioning had to move rooms 3 times. Rooms are tiny Staff not helpful. Reception made us miss breakfast cause he could not be bothered to tell us where to go. There are tables down stairs and on 6th floor he just let us wait around an empty room not telling us to go to 6. we had to miss breakfast or miss our boat

The roof top is awesome. You can sit there for hours looking over Funchal its beautiful. Parking was close by and available.

To pay attention to the position of the room; we were assigned to a room at the first floor looking at a wall and very noisy because of the conditioning/electric machines. We asked to change it. The wifi isn't free; I think it's quite unusual in a modern hotel.

The hotel is near the city centre, at a walking distance from the hold town and the promenade in front of the sea.

Nice breakfast room on the 6th floor with great views over the Funchal hills with the option of eating outside on the terrace too.
