Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The neighbours above us were walking around a lot and with the wooden floor you hear that (did not hear them talking though, only the floor cracking).
Excellent stay in very comfortable, very clean, fully equipped and very good located apartment at entrance of historic centre. Would book again.

The lady was super helpful showing me the map and explaining what's around the city center and how to get in the main turistic points of the city. Amazing location right at the city centre, with plenty of restaurants and all the historic monuments at max 10min walking! Highly recommended

We liked everything
We totally loved the apartment! It was beautiful, it had everything we needed, everything worked perfectly, super clean. And in an excellent location. If we go to this city again this would definitely be our first choice to stay in. Thank you!

The property was maintained extremely well. The cleanliness of apartment was immaculate. Odete was fantastic and exceptional to interact with. The property was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We especially appreciated the cozy atmosphere, and the easy access to local attractions. It also had the most comfortable big bed possible. It really made our stay enjoyable!

There are 8(?) apartments in the building. Ours was on the 3rd floor. No elevator. The terrace/garden sitting area is a communal area; the images on Booking com suggest that this is your private terrace. But the private balcony is also nice and the stairs are a good exercise.
Clean, bright, quiet, smart apartment with balcony, fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Comfortable, affordable and right in the middle of the town center. Parking next door costs ~1,5€ per night.

1. There is no elevator, but that is expectable for old center buildings. 2. Rather a suggestion for the host to consider - the possibility to revise their cancelation policy. At this point all bookings are non refundable.

The sleeper couch is absolutely uncomfotable. My kids were unable to sleep on it and we had to share the bed (fortunately the bed is large and extremely comfortable). We've stayed in many apartments with sleeper couch and this one has a hard ridge in the middle and is absolutely not sleepable.
The apartment, facilities, location and host is wonderful.

The bed mattress was very uncomfortable , it needs to be replaced ASAP. The a/c is located in the staircase so it warms only the 2nd floor, and it was cold in the 1st floor.
The location is great, just in the middle of the center. The apartment was clean.

Nothing whatsoever. Everything was great.
Very good location close to all major attractions, comfortable, spacious and well appointed apartment. The type of place where one can easily spend a few months if you really want to get to know the area.

Quite small shower for a large person, but we were OK. Wooden floors are a little noisy from people coming and going late at night 🌙
Location is superb, spotlessly clean, and very helpful staff. They had bicycles, which we used... Cycle friendly town. Would definitely recommend this apartment the best out of 5 we have stayed on this trip.
