Pools looked like they needed leaves etc cleaning out the top of the water

Location is amazing. Rooms are spacious and recently retouched. If you’re after a perfect accommodation then this wouldn’t be it. It has minor defects but for the money and location I think there’s plenty of benefits

My girlfriend cut her finger when making lunch one day. I went to reception to ask for a bandage. I watched the clerk dig through some first aid kits and a box labeled SOS, in a very messy looking office behind the front desk. He returned saying "sorry we don't have any." He did not even ask if we were okay or what happened. Shockingly bad, but the place is just otherwise so good I can only deduct one smile for this. Solid 9.6

Unbeatable value. I will never forget this place. The location has direct access to the trails to the east which lead to secret hidden beaches with nobody there. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful and would be a better fit at a 5 star. The Atlantic pool is one of the greatest pools I have ever swam in. The restaurant Caniço, stuck in the side of a cliff, is one of a kind with a huge shellfish menu and fantastic service. What more do you want?

Atlantic pool dirty not cleaned daily like the hotel pool Deck chairs old and dirty covered in bird droppings and still expect residents to pay 4 euro Think it’s unacceptable that residents should have to pay for deck chairs especially when such poor quality and dirty

The beds were a little too firm for me.

Fabulous location with spacious grounds extending to the cliffs. The views from there are spectacular. The Atlantic pool and terraced area are fantastic and the poolside restaurant is very good. The staff are very polite and helpful throughout the resort which makes it our first choice when visiting Alvor.

The accomodation Is a little further away from the village, about 25 mins by road , or 40mins by beach . not a problem for us, but may put some people off. The hotel was not full when we went , but we could hear the people above us , so may be a little noisy when full.

We have stayed here before and the accomodation is perfect for our needs , the apartments are spacious and very clean . Area around the accomodation is well maintained . Easy access to the fantastic beach , and lovely cliff top walks.

We liked the room and the comfy beds. We liked the restaurants, the athmospere and the fact that the hotel was not to bussy. We didnt like the fact that the Spa was closed for refurbishment and we were not told about this upon booking the hotel. What made us book wth you and pay the extra money then we would normaly pay for acomodation abroad was in fact the Spa which was not available.

Had half board, but dinners were poor, only a choice of two main dishes and no choice for starters or sweets. Supposed to be 4 star plus hotel, but dinners certainly not! Breakfast choice was barely adequate, more like 2 star.

Hotel grounds were lovely, pools very nice. Quiet location. Staff very helpful.

Kitchen small with salon doors which make it awkward. Balcony very small With no table and chairs on it. On holiday we usually like to sit out outdoors! There is NO COURTESY ROOM for the day you are leaving so you must have a cold shower at pool, which is rusty and has a blocked out pipe. Not ideal!

Compact and clean. Beautiful beach and nice pool and gardens.

Beds are really hard, really unpleasant and uncomfortable. Could not sleep well and get decent rest at most of the nights. Also, too much sunlight hits the room by 6AM. Leaved earlier, quickly became very very tired :(

Plenty of space & greens that are very clean, surrounding the pools and near other facilities. Great pools available, the sea one is really fantastic. Cool private beach. Nice bar & restaurant at the pools. Restaurant food is good, not expensive. Excellent beaches nearby, 5 min by car, with plenty parking (payed, but very cheap). No noise, specially at night.

Check out regular time until 10 am. Information that the Thalgo Centre (sauna, gym, etc.) was closed due to renovation only shown after the booking was made. Construction noise in the morning. Too much daylight after sunrise in the morning (blackout curtains do not work) One has to pay to use the safety box in the bedroom. Coffee machine did not work. TV did not work one morning. The whole facilities need renovation. Everything looks very old.

First impression of hotel was poor - building needs painting. Front scrub and green areas could be better. Pools dirty at times - seagulls swimming in pool beside hotel - did not see pool being cleaned or water being tested. Tiles coming off wall in pool. Seen maintenance men emptying stagnant water from area at pool bridge directly back into pool. Pool beds shabby in pool beside hotel. Charge for pool beds at Atlantic pool. Breakfast selection basic - same could be improved. Reception area could have more comfortable seating. Could not get an iron on Sunday even though offered to collect it!!! Didn't feel like 4 star standard. Food in bar areas could be better.

The location of the Atlantic pool was fantastic. Beach access was very good - steps or lift. The Beach was excellent. Gardens at back of hotel lovely. The rooms were clean and the household staff did a good job.

For a 4 stars it needs a bit of up keeping, the air con from the apartment above was tired and noisy and kept me from sleeping, the bottom of the pool was flaking and the patio furniture is tired and not very comfortable.

The staff is very nice and helpful, the location is beautiful, and a great choice between the salt water pool on the cliffs, the private beach and the hotel pool. Great for small children with a large children's pool and a great extension of grass and a park. The apartments are modern, comfortable and clean.

Beds were like sleeping on stone floor. Both of us left with severe back pain after 5 days. The constant sound of scraping chairs and moving tables was heard from our room on the 2nd floor starting early in the morning and continuing pretty much all day. Asked to find a taxi with a child seat the staff were pretty much useless and said they couldn't help us and we wouldn't find anyone. ended up phoning around from our hotel room when the guy at the desk said to use it or go into the town of Alvor to use the phone. Ended up with a 30 euro phone bill at the end for using the phone in our room to call local taxis. A very nice English woman from a baby seat rental company ended up giving us the name of two cab companies with child seats so it was possible the staff at our hotel just didn't want to help us. Food was mediocre at best and super expensive. You're way better off going into town to eat way better food for way better price. And drink options were super limited at the hotel which is disappointing when you're on vacation. Too far from town of Alvor to walk. It was about 10 euro cab everytime we left. Will never stay here again.

Great views with an apartment with everything we needed. The beach was stunning.

Shop and restaurant pricey. Spa/"Health Club" needs refurbishing but massage room and massage was good. Minor impractical things: no shower at beach, no place for towels in apartment/bathroom, few kitchen tools

Beach 11/10 Nice surroundings, friendly staff Free parking, free wifi

Sunbeds would be better with adjustable backs so can sit and read as well as lie .Only adjustable ones at Atlantic pool where charge applied.Generally beds looked and felt a little old and tired

Croissants excellent.Weather fantastic.Excellent walks on cliffs for adults-surprised resort does not draw attention to this more.

hair dryer only upon availability-in this range of the price it should be in each room, also dish washing liquid or ironing facilities would be na asset, sometimes small things make big difference, Wifi only in reception and rooms around it, otherwise no free wifi. early check-out 10am whereas check-in 4pm (however they were flexible to check us out @11am)

Beautiful surroundings of the hotel with lots of greenery and direct access to the charming beach (Praia dos 3 irmaos). kitchen equipped well enough with cooking amenities

One of the reception worker was not friendly at all. The indoor pool was not always available and was part of an health club (when they had classes, the guests of the hotel could not attend). Not really an indoor pool of the hotel.

Overall is a good hotel with good infrastructures, green spaces and well located

I didnt like the location! For me, this complex is to isolated. There is no local strip. To get to bars and restaurants you need to get taxis or be prepared for a trek. When we arrived at the hotel at approx 11:30pm - the reception area was nearly in complete darkness. Although the person at reception was very helpful, there was no bar/restaurant open for food or drink - not even a vending machine to get a bottle of water. The wifi cost €25.00 a day!! Way overpriced. I'm nit picking now but the hotel exterior (by the pool) could do with a coat of paint. I paid for a deluxe room - which was spotless but it was furnished like an Ikea showroom. Red & white was the theme in our room & literally, everything is red & white!! If you are after peace and tranquility - this is your place however, if you prefer areas with some hustle and bustle I'd look elsewhere : )

I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The pools and surrounding beach areas are stunning. The food and coffee down by the beach is really nice. The room was kept very clean. I found the bed comfortable. There was english channels on the television.

The location is unbeatable. The apartments are clean, with nice decorations and have beautiful views. What we loved most are the gardens and swimming pool area. There is a nice supermaket with delicious bread in the morning.

the reception staff were extremely unfriendly. In fact when I was checking out I was not even thanked . I was astonished at this. The cleaning ladies upstairs were so nice.Reception staff need to be taught how to say "thank you"

Its proximity to beach and a nice walk to town

Wifi should be free. Felt it was a bit petty to have to pay, which I didn't, as it was provided free in most other establishments. A hairdryer would have been nice to have in the room.
