    Room was a bit small.

Amazing view on the mountains from the room. Peaceful environment (we stayed in the building above the main villa). Very friendly staff. Cozy lounge with a fireplace. Beautiful garden. Excellent value for money. We also had dinner at Quinta Da Cova Do Milho and the food was excellent. I would definitely stay again at Quinta Da Cova Do Milho.

Very steep drive down to the house and parking space, but not unusual by Madeira standard. Not much soundproofing throughout the house. Noise in the kitchen is easily heard to the room for example.

Cozy, like a home away from home. Super friendly staff. Small dining room with home cooked feeling.

There was a slightly unpleasant smell in the bathroom from the drains

Excellent staff, we received a very warm welcome . We look forward to seeing the progress made in the garden on our next visit - Goncalo is very enthusiastic about the future.

Our room was shabby and there was strong smell of mold. Not recommended for allergic or asthmatic persons. Sound proofing was poor and noise from kitchen woke us early in the morning.

This is the second time that I've stayed there. Always good. If you'll go for long walks ask for a "picnic". It's a packed lunch.

Very nice place to stay, the staff is very friendly. It is a nice and quiet place to relax and enjoy the nature. However, without a car it will be difficult to get around.

Nothing. It does have relatively limited public transport from Santa do Serra and taxis are a little expensive.

This is a lovely place; it has real charm and character. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I think it really appeals to an English audience even though they seem only to get limited visitors from the UK. Christmas there was lovely. Excellent view from the balcony. Great walking opportunities - especially along the far eastern coast. The food is the best I had on the island and the wines very nice. Cosy fire that I believe heats the water - ideal for winter (not that they exactly have one!).

    - Good continental breakfast; could be more local produce though - A tad pricy considering that it is a B&B with no additional facilities

    - Very friendly staff; also giving good advise for walks - Beautiful garden and view - Good location for walks and hikes

If I have to point out something, dinner was slightly expensive compared to other places in Madeira.

Really nice location and definitely good value for the money spent. Dinner was also good.

Diner was a little bit expensive. No wireless in the rooms.

Very nice people. Very quiet room with nice view. Very good bed and pillows. Breakfast was very good and included many fresh salty (bacon, eggs, beans, sausages, ...) and sweet things (bread, cake, fruit salad, ...). The location of the hotel is very convenient to reach all the Est and South part of the Madeira island.

Our room was very different of that one which is advertised here in the offer. Bathroom needs some work. Blankets smelled a bit, everything was much older and they charged the same price for it.

Staff is excellent, very informative and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Place is very quiet.

    - No wifi in rooms (but this absence is common in Madeira) - Don't drive the small road from the airport, it's one of the steepest roads on the island, you're car may not like it. Instead, take the bigger road

The isolation, the garden around the buildings, the hosts.

Rooms - very beautiful decorated, as the whole property also. Spacious enough, spotless clean, large bathroom, very comfortable beds, very quiet, views at the mountains or garden. The property - The property has only 8 rooms, a large living area downstairs, and a room for breakfast. The living area is breathtaking beautifully decorated. A large fireplace, which is light up every evening, cozy coaches and armchairs for everyone, good music. You can sit here and drink a glass of wine, chilling after a day walking the levadas.

    Nothing at all.

We have been in Madeira a few times and this is the best place we have stayed in. Breakfast is great and if you prefer to do walks while in the Island, they make sandwiches for you. Dinner is great as well. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Highly recommended.
