    Absolutely nothing!

Isabel's ranch/compound is utterly fantastic; next time we'd like to spend a week there! It's also a perfect place for a family reunion. A few miles outside of Evora, it's like retreating into a whole different world. Set amidst orchards of citrus & olive trees, the multiple bedroom apts in various single-story buildings are beautifully decorated with gorgeous Portuguese antiques & rich fabrics, clearly reflecting the owner's wonderful design taste & cultural pride. There are ample social spaces for guests to sit back & relax, read a book, play a board game, or catch up on the news (very strong wifi) Excellent breakfasts are prepared & served, at your convenience, in your respective dining area, though I loved having early AM coffee out on the large terrazza. There's also a convenient Honor Bar in the sitting room offering both wines & hard liquor. Convenient to Evora, the property is right off a main road, so it is very easy to find. On-site parking is free & plentiful. Isabel's great restaurant & siteseeing recommendations in Evora were right on the mark.

Nothing -although I would ideally prefer to be in the town for a single night stay . The owner doesn't take credit cards as payment -fortunately we had cash in Euros, but we didn't know about this beforehand. There is no restaurant or bar in the property, so you have to drive to Evora for dinner or drinks out. Information was a bit confusing as we thought it was a hotel with these facilities.

Beautifully restored apartments in a rural location about 4km from Evora . They seem to be a converted stables -part of an old traditional country house. It has a well set up kitchen so you can self cater, although we were not aware of this until we arrived. This would be ideal for a longer stay than ours. Staff were very friendly and helpful (although their English is limited -they speak French and Portuguese.) It also has a nice pool and gardens . Lots of cork trees and some olives growing nearby, and sheep with bells add to the atmosphere.

    No complaints.

Large, comfortable bedroom, nicely furnished. Living area just outside also available. Only several minutes to free parking just outside Evora. Quiet countryside location, soothing. Pool and grounds meticulous. Homemade preserves at breakfast.

The owner was overbearingly efficient and demanding with an abrasive style which was a great pity since this was our last leg of our lovely tour throughout western, central & northern Portugal. The cleaning staff were very friendly. We have stayed in lovely Agriturismo booked through booking.com but this was such a contrast to our other experiences. The rooms were very dark including the living area. It was such a contrast to the photos online which suggests light specs. It is a 10 minute drive from Evora and really not safe to walk home in the evening. It was very quiet and somewhat isolated. It was also a pain having to find cash at the end of the journey as it is in such small print online that CC are not accepted, it was easy to miss and clearly an issue that had arisen for others beforehand. Credit Agricole is the only bank that provides a money exchange service as we spent a good few hours. Evora has a plethora of banks including the Bank of Portugal but only one provides this service

The beds were comfortable. Pool setting was pleasant, although the pool is not that deep. Scrambled eggs at breakfast was welcome but rather poor selection of breakfast food compared to all the other places we have stayed.

The breakfast is sub-standard. A few pieces of fruit and some bread is simply not acceptable. The owner is highly-strung and did very little to make our stay more pleasant.

Apartment was outstanding; beautifully furnished and high quality. The swimming pool is great, as well as the surrounding terrace.

Comfortable and serene. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, including oranges from the property. The hosts were extremely helpful and suggested places to see. The Quinta is in the country but very close to Evora. We found that a couple of nights in the country was a perfect change after the city. Lovely gardens and pool.

The only negative thing is that I'm not there now!

Stayed in the 2-bed apartment which was beautifully appointed. Lovely bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen inc washing machine and dishwasher. Tranquil location 10 mins' easy drive from Evora city centre. Breakfast inc in price and served on lovely terrace with Isabel's homemade jams, overlooking the beautifully cared for grounds. Everything has been fitted out to such a high standard by people who truly seem to care for your stay. The maid came in and cleaned during our 2-night stay! There is also an Honesty Bar in the communal area. I can't recommend highly enough.

The room was located in the main house, but had no airconditioning, which is critical considering that the location is the hot Alentejo in August!. The room was noisy, as it was right next to the parking lot and next to the entrance of the house. Finaly the lady incharge of the Quinta da Espada seriously laking customer handling skills.

Charming place and remote yet close to the beautiful city of Évora and the fantastic Megalits (Cromeleque).

Beds a bit squeaky. Since the building is old (1820) the walls are thick and the windows are small, so the rooms are dark even during the day. Somewhat more expensive than equivalent places in the region.

The inside looks like a living museum of farming in the 19th and 20th century in Portugal. It's richly decorated with farming tools, everywhere you look there's something worth your attention. The owner was happy to tells us the story and use of several of the items. Otherwise, large and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast.
