It's not family friendly . The room is tiny, the kitchenette isn't great. There is no table to sit and eat at. There is only one armchair. So it's definitely not for a family. There is no reception. So if you have any problems there is nowhere to go. Awful! It's not worth the money.

The location is great. But if you decide to go there in March, you should take your warm clothes and winter pyjamas, as it is freezing cold in the room. Basically these little houses are like sheds with a small radiator that doesn't warm up the room at all.

This is for rural comfort lovers only... If you can find your way down the narrow roads, it looks cosy at first sight, but.... it is basic, no close restaurant (shop before, there is also no breakfast), water was hardly flowing in the shower (and no pressure), bed was average and wifi was not working. You need to be lucky with the weather, otherwise it can prove quite humid. Not a recommendation given other Madeira hotels we enjoyed.

The location may be great to have a pleasant stay in the summer, enjoying the calm of the surrounding nature and the swimming pool. But in early February there is nothing to do appart from spending the night. No bar, no breakfast, nothing, just take your car and find a restaurant. To be fair, the studio is fully equipped so if you bring your own food you can cook it there.

Wifi was not available in the cabin but as it's high up 3G reception is pretty good, enough to work and connecr to a vpn if you need to get some remote work done.

It's quiet, well decorated, comfortable, a place to resource your selves, read a book and forget about everything. In the village they produce local yummy cider. Aldeia restaurant has the best and endless espada!

    - no wifi - no reception at all - we did not get a hairdryer after we asked - after paying we got back the change after 2 days - there was no heating in the bathroom - the main room had a heater but even on max setting it did little to keep the room warm at night - the heating boiler was loud, we felt like sleeping next to a highway

    Nice little cottage, calm area

Might want to take mozi spray and bottled water and ice if you need. Local shop is a bit low on supplies.

Beautiful and comfortable. Was a wonderful experience. Clean, Fresh, spectacular serenity. A romantic place for couples and a great place for family and friends. All in all perfect.

Not there long enough. Place was SO different almost quaint

We chose accommodation at very short notice due flight delay because of weather. Could not have asked for more sympathetic people if we had tried. Even gave us a lift to local restaurant

There is no personnel permanently in the hotel, so sometimes difficult to reach someone. The house would be great if a second small living room (with sofá bed) was transformed into a third bedroom. Some doors were not working very well.

Beautiful house in beautiful landscape. Green, quite, peaceful. Charming, well-equipped and nicely decorated house. Owner was helpful in providing information and advice.

We both woke up every night when the boiler started heating. Even when everything was turned to 0.

The small romantic chalet is always a winner

Very rude owner. Did not want to talk to us, yelled at portugese friend and only wrote back when booking.com contacted him. Cottages absolutely not suited for anyone with ashtma. We felt there was a weird feeling to the place. Decided to leave even when it costs us 435 euros.

    Location was okay
