The time there passed too quickly.

We stayed at a lovely apartment with a beautiful balcony and even more wonderful hosts. We felt so very welcome. We were treated on lots of delicious goodies and found several times fresh bread, pastries or scones hanging at our door. But most of all the friendly faces of Sam and Rich and their cheerful approach that makes us want to return to this small paradise in Portugal.

SAM and Rich were perfect hosts, the room was stocked with everything you could wish for and SAM left us unexpected occasional breakfast treats. Personal recommendations of what to do and where to go were spot on and really useful. Communications before (and after) stay excellent. If we were ever to go back to the region Quinta do Bom Vento will be where we will stay.

The place was fantastic, but the first thing you notice is the incredibly warm welcome from Rich and Sam, along with the care and effort they put into making you feel at home! The surroundings were perfect for what we were looking for — a peaceful and beautiful holiday close to the beach, in a natural setting. There are tons of activities to enjoy, and Rich and Sam are always ready to share tips and recommendations to help you make the most of your stay!

Nothing! It was all good.

This was a lovely place to stay. Our apartment was spacious with a lovely, private terrace to sit out on. It was very quiet and the view from the terrace was over a wooded valley. Sam and Rich were excellent hosts. Happy to chat and offer suggestions for days out etc. The welcome pack, as noted by other reviewers, was generous indeed-lots of goodies. On top of this, we received fresh bread and pastries on three occasions throughout the week we were there. Very nice indeed. Obidos is a 12 minute drive away and well worth a visit. A beautiful walled town, touristy but very pleasant. The nearby Buddha Eden is a sight to behold. We were told that we must visit and were blown away by the scale of the place and the sheer numbers and quality of exhibits. An excellent beach with parking and facilities was Praia do Portico. A great stay.

TV channels limited, if you planned to spend most evenings in the apartment, but there is a facility connect to Amazon Prime, Netflix etc, if you have an account.

Fantastic location if you want tranquility in a lovely area with wonderful views from the private terraces. You'd be pushed to find better hosts than Rich and Sam, who were so friendly and accommodating. Our unit was spacious and very well furnished. The fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies, and Sam brought us fresh local bread. Historic Obidos is only 10 mins drive away, with plenty of decent restaurants. We'll definitely be coming back for a longer stay!!

Care was taken to look after every little detail, from luxury linens, a stocked fridge, and getting us dinner reservations. They even provided warm, fresh pastry items at our door the first morning !

This farm located just outside of Obidos by 10 minutes is the perfect place to stay for a quiet, relaxing vacation away from it all! The host and hostess are exemplary!

Beautiful property where everything you could think of is provided. Sam and Rich are wonderful hosts and were around to offer advice , ensure we had everything we needed and also provided a few unexpected treats. The location is fantastic - perfect for a quiet relaxing break yet close to Obidos, Caldas and some fabulous beaches. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quinta do Bom Vento and intend to return soon.

We stayed at this apartment in Portugal and it was simply fantastic. The place was equipped with every comfort and we felt at home from the very first moment. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The view from the balcony was stunning, with trees stretching as far as the eye could see, creating a relaxing atmosphere. We had everything we needed; it was truly perfect. Without a doubt, this was the best stay we’ve had in Portugal. We highly recommend it!

We had a super relaxing week at QBV in this wonderful part of the country. We wanted to switch-off and reset, and we were able to do so in this beautiful place. The area is nice and tranquil, and it is so easy to access Óbidos, and Peniche, as well as the nearby beaches. The apartment is clean and is fully kitted with everything one could possibly need. The views from the flat are stunning and there are also lovely nature walks around the apartments. Sam and Rich are the best hosts, friendly, helpful, and super attentive. On arrival there is a very generous welcome pack, which was greatly appreciated as we arrived too late to make it to a restaurant or to the shops; and during our stay we were frequently surprised with treats left by the front door. All in all a great experience, highly recommend it. Thank you for your great hospitality Sam and Rich, what a perfect gem these beautiful flats are, we look forward to coming back!

Didn´t find anything however given this splendid hospitality we never got the idea to look for something which might be missing. :-)

We have never had such remarkable hosts like SAM and Rich. The love and dedication to the guests spoke from countless details of the holiday home. A full fridge, a table suitcase with biscuits, snacks and pasta, fruit bowl, wine and beer (all included). Every 3-4 days a bag of bread and baked goods hung on the door. Room was stylishly decorated. No household appliance was missing. Great facilities. The holiday home is in a very quiet rural location, off the beaten track. On the property you can walk and meditate in a forest-like environment. It is about 30 minutes to the sea. We are still overwhelmed by the hospitality we have enjoyed.

The internet connection was not always good. Not a big problem for us because we used our 4G at the times the internet was too slow.

We stayed as a family of 5 in Quinta do bom vento. We loved our stay. If we could give hospitality an 11 instead of a 10 we would. We felt very welcome from the very first foot we stepped on the property. The property felt like an it’s own little cosy village. The surroundings are amazing with woods in the back yard. Sam and Rich were very kind and you see that they do this with their whole heart. Before booking I was afraid the house would be too hot as it has no air conditioning. My concerns were not nescessary. Quite often we walked around with a cardigan in the house because it was so nice and cool inside. From the house we visited Nazaré, Obidos, baio do Sao Martinho do Porto, the Buddha Eden garden (recommended!) and the Berlengas islands (recommended). I definitely recommend!

Everything was perfect.

Everything was perfect! We were coming off 10 days of traveling and Quinta do Bom was just what we needed. Super comfortable, well-stocked and incredible views. We could not have loved it more! Richard and Sam are also absolutely lovely and there if we needed anything at all. They happily showed us a possible running trail and delivered us hot bread in the morning. We would happily visit again.

This was the best place ever. Our accommodation was done out beautifully with all you could want (better equipped than my home) and very comfortable. Sam and Richard were amazing, attentive and generous and made sure you had the best stay. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. The area was great with lots to do and it was in a peaceful location - we loved sitting on our balcony in the evening sun or out in the courtyard. This place lives up to all the positive reviews. Do not hesitate to book.

Honestly… if your dates are available do not hestitate. We LOVED everything about staying at QBV. Such a lovely place made even better by Sam and Richard and their incredible hospitality. We’ll be dreaming about our stay for years to come and hope we are able to return one day soon.
