Very thin walls so we were kept up by the room next ya talking all night. Room A little dingy and tired.

The massive difference between what was advertised and what we found. This hotel is a construction site, the pool is empty and the rooms are back in the 60's with the smallest bathroom outside of Paris. Only book this hotel if you really need a cheap room.

There was construction going on. Was not aware of that. Place was just fine on the inside, but scaffolding everywhere on the outside. Would not have mattered except they started early on in the morning and woke me up. Otherwise the property is a great value.

Small rooms, bad smell. Old interiors, old furniture - this hotel really needs a renovation. According to the information on Booking.com and on the billboards close to the hotel - there is a Spa at the hotel, which is not the case. "Maybe they will open it in 4-5 years, not earlier. There is only massage but is fully booked" - that's what we have heard while asking at the Reception about Spa or at least a sauna.

Free parking close to the hotel

The shower was too small .

Good location. I walked from Régua station . Walked by the Douro River twice daily, which was very close to the hotel. Peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was ok although didn’t have egg! No dinner or lunch facilities but all other restaurants are within walking distance . Lidl is close by . Bought drinking water from Lidl which was way cheaper than hotels one. Cleaned room daily. Good service

We went there in low season, there were very few guests, so having a view to the river would have been nice.

The hotel was OK, clean, all basic amenities, we were happy with our stay. Very friendly staff, lent us an opener for the wine bottle. Quiet location, close to the shop. We came there by car, there was no problem finding the place. The hotel has its own parking.

Our room was in need of some redecoration. The bathroom ceiling looked particularly stained and the TV in the room was quite old and channels limited but that did not bother us as the location on the sunny Douro river in December made up for that.

The staff were the best feature of this hotel, they were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included and was plentiful and varied, the lady waiting would make sure we had everything we wanted and even remembered my coffee preference on the second morning.

The room was a little dark and could have done with more lights. Guests had clearly been smoking in the hall way but that is not the hotels fault. Our room had a small balcony - too narrow to use but bins are provided out here for smokers which only encourages people to smoke in the rooms.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and knowledgable when giving advice about the area. The dining room and two lounges were comfortable and have been recently modernised. We seldom use the public areas in hotels but did here. A bar was a bonus. Breakfast was served from 7am onwards and this we loved. A much earlier start than most of the hotels we have stayed in on this trip. The location was great - quiet, a supermarket just around the corner, a cafe just a minutes walk away where they have the most wonderful selection of delicious cakes and a good range of pastries and rolls for packing pinic lunches and the hotel is very close to the river. There is a wonderful path along the river - 35 minutes walk fro the station.

This place was definitely not our favourite place to stay while on our trip. We were there one night and that was enough time. We arrived late and left early. It was clean and relatively cheap but that was about it. The breakfast was lack luster, the walk from the train station was longer than we thought and generally we didn't leave refreshed. The water pressure was awesome though.

    Nothing

On outskirts of town, very efficient reception parking bar lifts wifi shower and in October extremely good value. There are two bars out of the hotel and 200yds to the left on a roundabout that do excellent food and wine at give away prices so unless you're a real foody don't bother going into the town centre to be fleeced!!

This hotel looks tired in its décor. The reception area and breakfast room was maintained well but the corridors, bedroom all need upgrading. Carpets grubby and well worn and bathroom was mouldy and cramped. The swimming pool facilities were offered to us but when we tried to access this; it was all locked up in a separate space/area to the hotel. The receptionist kindly unlocked a side gate but the chairs/loungers were dirty, cracked no soft furnishings on them to sit/lie. The pool water was clearly full of flies and no flowing water to be seen. Great shame because location was quiet, easy access to the town for those who are happy to take a short walk.

Location good as we stayed here so that we could access the train station. Good local shops nearby.

Very far from Régua. If you are traveling with a car this will not be a problem. However, if you are relaying on public transport you will find staying here problematic. I would suggest staying in the old town.

The grounds of the hotel are poorly maintained & no effort is made to look after them apart from the lawns near the pool. The fire doors on the staircase are kept open with wooden wedges, which would be against fire regulations. The bar area could be nice however no staff there to make drinks etc.

Reception staff pleasant enough, breakfast was sufficient, coffee very poor. Large pool but to cold.

Insulation against noise from adjoining rooms was poor. Distance from the hotel to the town of Pesa de Reguas was at least two kilometers with no public transport/bus and very limited facilities for dinner at night in local bars and restaurants. This should have been made more clear in the information about the hotel on your website as I would certainly have preferred a hotel more central.

The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Ideal accommodation for visitors with their own car for a short stay.

The staff were VERY nice and helpful—all very attentive. Easy parking. The air conditioner worked very well (thank goodness, summer is hot!!). And the rooms were quiet. It's not a 5-star hotel by any means, it could use a good renovation, but for the price it's not bad at all. I was in town for a wedding and didn't spend much time in my room. If I had, I might not have liked it much. But there's so many great places to go in the region, who would want to stay in their room anyhow????

The walls/doors are a bit thin and neighbours can be heard sometimes. Ours were pretty quiet so not a problem for us.

Location is away from centre of Regua but within easy walking distance. Basic but adequate no frills accommodation. Efficient air-con in room. You get what you pay for and this was good value for this popular tourist area. Buffet breakfast with reasonable selection was fine. Free off street parking - first come first parked but quite a few spaces.
