The staff at the check in were a bit rude. I was travelling with a friend and the lady acted a bit superior than us, like we were a bunch of teenagers about to destroy her property.

The room was super clean and comfortable! I was wish there were more efficient blinds in the windows.

There is no elevator, so I had to carry my suitcase upstairs. The room does not have much space but that was fine. But it was not soundproof enough that I was waken up once by the noise from next door.

The breakfast was great. And the stuff was very kind and helpful. Although the hotel might be a little bit far away from old town, it is very close to metro station.

Not unique; rather conventional. The fact that upon clicking acceptance, there is NO cancellation policy, even though we signed up for the hotel nearly 2 months before arrival.

Conventional inn near Porto city center, impersonal, good breakfast.

The location was very good. You can reach the famous attractions just after a couple of minutes, whether by walking or metro. The breakfast was more than expected. The facilities were not bad for what you paid for.

Underground Parking is very limited and very tight; "turn around", not possible, even if entire lot were empty; to exit, one must "reverse" onto a busy street and sidewalk... One person must be on the sidewalk, to keep an eye on traffic...

The staff were very helpful and directed us to all the main tourist sites in Porto. The variety of food available for breakfast was excellent. Any query was dealt with quickly and with a smile such as explaining how the public transport system worked.

Economy room is way too little for two person. It would be perfect for a single one. Was my bad though to have skipped this info about the twin small bed but watch out.

Breakfast was better than expected. 24hour reception desk is very useful. Old grandpa was super friendly and fun to talk to😀. Metro is just 1minute away.

The only minor observation is about the mini bar which did not froze at all, however this has not caused any inconveniences.

We liked the hospitality of the staff so much, it was good to know that you will always have the answer, get help and be supported at any issue raised. The hotel is located near the metro station Marques which is not so far from the city center. It will take 40-45 minutes to walk by foot and observe surroundings with great pleasure.

The hotel is dated and needs renovation. The staff should be more friendly and supportive. Especially for guests who arrive late at night. Since the hotel is locked after midnight, you have to knock on the door to be let inside. And the guard may be off the mood. This should not be tolerated by administration that a guard at nigh is so suspicious and rude to his guests. Everything else - satisfactory.

Location is 7/10. Within a walking distance (~15 min) from the old town and Douro river (~30 min). Room was clean and the old building has it's own charm.

Maybe the radiator in the bathroom needed a lick of paint. But hard pressed otherwise to call to mind things we didn't like. A small dog yapped occasionally outside the window. A washing machine droned on in the afternoon. But really this is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Costa do Sol, perhaps, has one of the best breakfasts in town. Scrambled and fried eggs. Different variety of bread rolls. Cheese and ham pancakes. Followed up with many different cakes and other sweet surprises. We arrived around midnight and were still able to check-in with the night watchman, who always smiled and was very personable. The Hotel could perhaps be described as Old-Style Portuguese. Fairly dark interiors and in the room. It is located to the north of the centre. There are small shops and vegetable stores. Maquez is the nearest Metro station. You can get from there to city centre in about 15 minutes.

The worst in my life late check in experience: old guy with zero English and poor French could not find my booking, screamed at me and tried to push me outside at 10pm.After my unsuccessful calls to booking.com helpline (20min on the phone and no one picked up)and about an hour of waiting and trying to show him email booking confirmation, asking a pen to write the name, which he refused, he managed to bring me to tears and finally found the booking. No apologies, he just demanded that I cried quieter. Other guests were also shocked by his manners and behavior.I wish the hotel returned the roaming fees for the calls in addition to saying sorry. The location is also a bit far from the center and walking in the street at night is no so nice. I think it's possible to find a place to stay closer to the center for the same money and much better attitude to guests.
