I wasn`t very satisfied with SPA- service (especialy with pedicure), it was a bit superficial and the qvality of outcome wasn`t very high. Saunas and SPA were great! It was also a bit complicated to find right elevator to SPA:)

Location is just perfect, nice walk from city center and you can also use a transfer bus. Our view from window was absolutely fantastic, the bed was comfortable and room was big enougth. The breakfast was rich and tasty. We also liked the evening program, especially DJ and dance program in the bar. Despite a bad weather conditions we still had a very good vacation. And we were lucky to get some sunbath as well on the terras.

People walking through the hotel already changed for the pool and/or spa facility.

Comfortable and great sea view room, very good breakfast, and evening meal that we had on arrival. Bar with entertainment each night if you wish. We didn't mind the walk into the city but it is hilly coming back and would not suit all, that said they lay on a mini bus for residents during the day. Didn't try the spa to busy sight seeing

Room furniture was a bit Spartan. The cooked meats at breakfast looked rather high in fat content. Cash machine in foyer gave a very poor rate of exchange.

I was well satisfied with everything, although nothing stood out as exceeding my hopes or expectations. I was interested to see that bubbly wine was on ice at every breakfast, but I thought it best not to yield to the temptation.

Dinner buffet was average and we only ate their once. Breakfast was repetitive and got a little boring after 7 days. No access to indoor pool despite this being advertised on booking (to use this you have to pay extra). The courtesy bus to centre was unreliable and overbooked on occasion - this is a real problem given the predominantly elderly clientele. The bar entertainment started too late (usually 21:00 hours+ and so we missed most of this).

Central location, excellent views, friendly staff. This was good value hotel and catered well for the more seasoned traveller.

Buffet evening meal €22.50 each very poor selection and presentation did not look appetising. Bottle of water left in room every day we thought this was a nice touch but it was €1.75 each time. Pool area very small with sun beds squashed in together Pool bar closed twice during our stay for private function with no notification. Also closed Friday for BBQ €25 each leaving no alternative place to eat. Seemed to be invaded by children after 5pm?. We thought with bed and breakfast we could eat out in local restaurants - not so - nothing around the hotel unless you wanted to walk down the hill and up again after you had eaten. Taxi back up to €10. Free shuttle bus stopped very early so not able to use this in the evening.

Breakfast. Scrambled egg under cooked and runny but good selection something for everyone. Omlettes cooked to order a big plus Pool side bar meals very good fresh cooked and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Pool not deep ideal for anyone not a confident swimmer. Rooms clean and a good size. Paid for a full sea view which was nice unless you looked down at the derelict deserted buildings.

I recommend not to take half board. The buffet dinner in the hotel is uninteresting. There are many nice pubs in the town offering local specialties.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend for quite week on July. We got a really good deal on booking.com and we're delighted with the hotel. Location wise you are only a 10 minute walk to the local shops/bars/restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was such a lovely stay. The facilties were great especially the pool/lounge area. Rooms were spacious and clean. Absolutely loved it! Would definitely recommend and if visiting Madeira again I would stay here.

The check in staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly. Although the breakfast was free (included in the price of the room) the food lacked flavour and was very poor quality. The only food that was palatable was the bread and fruit (I'm also not a fussy eater!) They offer free sparkling wine at breakfast but it is very disgusting. The staff insisted on changing the name of my booking to a males name! So they changed it to my boyfriends name - despite me booking the room and paying for it using my card. A very sexist, useless and offensive policy.

The room was cheap, there was free parking, the rooms were clean and had a lot of television channels in English. The pool area is nice and has a great view.

After staying in other hotels on Madeira the quality for price can be better at other hotels. 4 views presents itself as a luxury hotel, which is a bit of an exaggeration. It is a nice 3 star hotel but things like requiring a deposit for pool towels, only having an instant coffee machine at breakfast and charging 15€ to use the in-room safe make you feel like you're staying in a hostel. This hotel caters to retired Germans and the breakfast choices reflect this. I think what tainted our experience the most was that upon check in we noticed that the price for night 3 was 30€ higher than night 1/2. The young woman who checked us in thought it was stange as well and asked her colleague why this was, her colleague explained that it was because the room rates increased starting that day. Fine no problem, except when I looked at their website and Booking.com for the same room on the same night it was even cheaper than what we had paid for nights 1 & 2! We feel this reflects poorly on 4 views and for this reason will never stay there again nor recommend it to friends or families. The hotel still has a lot of work to do aside from the 'total renovation' it received to be up to par with their competitors at the same pricepoint.

The hotel has an ideal location with lovely views of Funchal.

The walk upside the hill towards to the hotel asks some effort. The shuttle bus could be more frequent and to various points into the city center or some more information on the possiblities for the use of public transport from and to the hotel could be interesting. The quality and taste of the coffee at the breakfast buffet could be much better. The bed is rather hard.

The size of the room. The full seaview and view on Funchal from the room. The location close to the city center - 10 minutes walk The quality and choice of the breakfast buffet The eco offer to skip the not really necessary daily room cleaning in exchange for 3€/day

Some complains about the location of this hotel being far from the city, but forget about it! Staying in this hotel itself is so comfortable and the overall view of the city could ONLY be captured from above, like this hotel's location.

Lifts were very busy and five people overloaded the main two lifts, three overloaded the smaller lift. First night the tea and coffee in the room was free after that refills cost €3. Expected more facilities in the room for a four star hotel, no tissues, minimal toiletries, Safe was on a key and there was a deposit for that key, although the information given when checked in stated €15 cost. Pool towels had €1 replacement cost and €10 deposit. The hotel had a free bus into the town but it had to be booked 48hours in advance hence never used. The balcony in the rooms are very small bearly big enough for two people.

Great view, great location just 10 to 15 minute walk down to the front, shops, bars and Resturants. €6 back in a taxi as its uphill. Comfortable rooms although beds are hard which we we're OK with. Very nice pool area and sun terrace on floor 3 however the only way to get to the sun terrace was a small lift. The breakfast was good for Buffett style but always busy. Hotel laid on entertainment every night which was ok but we only attended a couple of times.

The aircon wasn't very effective, even at its top (noisy) level. Consequently, we didn't sleep too well, despite the comfortable beds, as the room was too hot.

Lovely large room and bathroom. Very comfortable, modern, clean. Being up the hill from Funchal, the bar with its panoramic windows has an amazing view. The rooms with a nice sea view turn out to be a bit too noisy once you open a window/balcony. The hotel is located on a hill near the road, thus, you can feel this city noise. The cuisine was okay, but you would expect something more for a 4star hotel. The coffee at the breakfast wasnt good. Gym and spa facilities for extra charge.

In general its a nice modern hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff at the reception. Quiet rooms looking at the back yard \ mountains. Lovely views from the hotel, also from their restaurant! The location is good for taking walks to Marina Funchal and the Old Town (around 5 minutes down the hill to the promenade and ca 10-15 min up back to the hotel). Its more of a city type hotel comparing to the ones located in a more touristic area - Estrada Monumental.

The cooked breakfast was very disappointing. Every day, the scrambled eggs and 'hot' food were cold. This was highlighted a few times to the chef and reception, yet nothing was done. Simply not enough tables set up at peak times and not enough staff on duty! Looks like corners have been cut by management on the level of staff and the standards in the restaurant. Very poor show. Due to this, I will not recommend eating in the restaurant. The décor in the reception and bar areas is not welcoming. Dark and sombre, topped off with gross orange lighting. More like a nightclub, than a relaxation area! Did not feel welcoming entering the hotel. I love coming to Madeira, but I will not be returning to this hotel; unless there are major changes.

We paid extra for 'sea view', but since the sea is so far, it's not worth your extra money. The hotel is surrounded by busy roads at the sea side. The room is quite small and old: definitely not worth 4 stars. The sun starts leaving the pool around 4pm in mid-summer.
