kitchen was very poorly equipped. We stayed for 3 three weeks and ended up purchasing basic kitchen equipment as it was not provided.

Gym is small and not well equipped. When we’re here in summer they showed live football but unsubscribed in winter to save cost.

This is a beautiful hotel. Trees and beautiful well looked after plants. Easy free parking. They have a scale, ATM and there’s also a machine selling cigarettes for those who smokes.

While I appreciate the efforts of the staff to ensure a pleasant stay, I encountered a minor inconvenience during checkout. The payment terminal malfunctioned, resulting in my card being charged but the transaction not appearing in the system. Although I don't blame the employee for the issue, it did cause some unnecessary stress during the 20-minute checkout process. It would be advantageous to have amenities in the kitchen such as a dishwasher and washing machine.

What an incredible spot to unwind between Lisbon and the stunning beaches! Just a 30-minute drive from Lisbon, and only 10 minutes to breathtaking ocean views and sandy beaches, this location exceeded our expectations, especially with a little baby in tow. The rooms were impeccably clean, the beds and pillows exceptionally comfortable, and the staff across all departments were incredibly friendly.

I was disappointed by my stay overall. The hotel was let down by poor / non existent service at the pool, which is where most people will spend their time on holiday. It’s a shame, because it’s a beautiful area. Nobody greeted you or smiled- the main guy there is just miserable. You were made to feel like an inconvenience when you approached the bar there. There were never any towels available (3 days running) despite about 10 people there most days and when requested, I simply received shrugs and was told it was out of season, or to bring my own from the room. Nobody took orders, or served drinks, despite not being busy. We would have spent 5 x more if we’d had service! Nobody helped with beds or pads for the beds. No music or atmosphere. Hard to communicate too, as nobody there spoke English. Outside of the pool, the staff were lovely. But this really ruined my trip and deterred me and my Mum from using this area. The restaurant is a lovely area with helpful staff who make a big effort, but outside of the buffet breakfast which is fine, it’s let down by very average/ bland and massively overpriced food for the quality (and I come from London and eat out a lot!) . We would have liked to eat in more or order room service, but this put me off. The hotel bathrooms are black and so dark you have to do your makeup outside and are very slippery when wet. A few times, our room wasn’t cleaned or beds made/ cups cleared and we had to request it. No espresso machines or milk in room to make coffees or proper tea. We had to order or take milk from breakfast every day for this. Just seems basic- especially for the British. Would expect sound bars and better tech to play music/ log into Netflix etc. Couldn’t access or order papers or magazines. No iPads/digital either. No library but loads of shelves in the foyer. Nothing happening in the evening. The shuttle is good, but dropped us too far away for my Mum to walk into the main area and back to after.

The pool area is lovely and tranquil and the grounds overall are well kept and attractive. The Manager is great and helpful as is the female restaurant Manager and Sara on reception. Good concierge. Liked the little foyer cafe. The Serenity Spa masseurs were superb! Nice area and chill out zones in the spa too. Appreciated the water daily and great to have a little cook area in the rooms and access to the gardens from the room.

I had a used contact lense on the floor in my room which was a bit disconcerting - and all my colleagues got upgraded but I arrived on the Saturday so paid for a bigger room as my sister travelled with me. I also had breakfast in the restaurant as I had a meeting and so didn’t order the buffet but off al la Carte - it took an age to arrive which was frustrating as I was on a time limit and quite frankly wasn’t very nice and not what I expected. The facilities where amazing though and so was the location so I’d definately go there again but for such an expensive hotel there were just a few little finesses to make it feel extra special.

The location was amazing, felt very exclusive and perfect location to walk to the beach through the beautiful neighbourhood. The staff were really polite and really helpful and knowledgable. I had managed to forget my converter even though I was there for business and they loaned me one which was sooo kind. The room service was lovely and better quality in our opinion than the restaurant. The pool was fantastic and the gardens and restaurants calm enough to work from or take a stroll around which was was so relaxing. The staff here were also the right level of attentive - leaving you alone when you needed peace and being right there when you needed something. All in all a really nice hotel.

We could not get into the room until 15.00, despite arriving from Sao Paulo in the morning. Room was excellent, breakdast top, Yakuza restaurant very good, but most importantly, personnel did their very best to find back our son‘s cuddles after he forgot them in the bed. Many thanks!!!

Service in the Japanese restaurant was difficult - online menus were hard to navigate and staff were not immediately helpful but the meal we eventually had was superb

Staff in the terrace restaurant (breakfast) were very helpful and breakfast itself was excellent. Large rooms were extremely comfortable and the pool was wonderful.
