Nothing, it was great value for money. The church bells stopped overnight, and the upper storey rooms were well sound proofed anyway, so no problems there. The room was somewhat dated, but perfectly clean, and comfortable

Fabulous location. Great to be able to park in the underground carpark (for eur2.50). Fantastic price for a lovely room. Walking distance to some great restaurants (we loved Repleto de Magia)

As it is the main hotel in Covilha the personal should talk a little better in English, I think. Or you have to learn Spain, French or Portuguese.

Very good bed, you have balcony and shower with bath. And the town itself very nice and calm!

A bit noisy during the night - I guess it was the air conditioners working.

Good price for what you get and great location. Friendly staff at the restaurant.

Before arriving at the hotel, we sent the staff an email asking for a quiet room looking towards the mountain and not towards the main street as well as suggestions for some restaurants in the surroundings. The answer was that there were no quiet rooms available and that the hotel had a restaurant. - English: the receptionist refused to talk to us in English, kind of unusual for a touristic place. - Staff: One of the receptionists (the one we found most of the time) wasn't friendly at all. Upon arriving, we had reserved a superior family room but given we were only 2 adults he deliberately downgraded us to a smaller room (at least it had a good view) - Cleanliness: we found hair on both pillows and blanket. The cleaning staff's solution for the blanket was NOT to change it but to place it on the other bed. When we told the receptionist we found hair he told us that may be it was ours! - Breakfast: extremely basic discount-type of food, small variety.

Position, few steps away from main square. Ideal to visit the historical part of the town.

Nothing. Everything was perfect for our stay.

The location was perfect for wondering around the lovely town. The hotel was delightful. Clean and spacious rooms. Our room overlooked the square with the church bells ringing during the day. Turned off at night thank goodness.!!

Did not like the beds which had fitted plastic under covers which was not comerfortable and made you hot.

The staff were really good especially the receptionist and the restaurant staff where the food was excellent. The overall impression was the hotel had seen better days and was somewhat fading.

We had a warm and comfortable room with a balcony over the main square in Covilhã. The restaurant at the hotel is very good and the staff was very friendly. The parking is very convenient.

It's an old building, with old and ugly furniture, decoration, facilities, even the bed sheets were old and yellow! The bathroom didn't look clean (avoided to use it at all), the room smelled like cigarets and food from the hotel restaurant. The balcony hasn't been clean in years... it was the worst 3star hotel ever! And paid 51€ for that.. not happy at all!! I don't recommend it at all.

The location, located at the city center

Staff, no water pressure for the shower, breakfast was a joke. Orange juice from large plastic bottle and by 0800 bacon and eggs gone and note replenished. The pool was full of screaming children and lastly the parking was using the municiple parking across the road.

Restaurant across the road, rooms clean and tidy.

    - Areas for improvement: The food in the restaurant was tasty but it all looked the same... I had deer, my wife had wild boar and someone on the next table had "Alheira", but the dishes all look the same. Don't forget that we also eat with our eyes! ;)

    - Location; - Staff was very kind and helpful; - Free Parking; - Indoor swimming pool is a nice alternative on a cold and rainy day; - Breakfast is full and varied;

Lack of information, especially about parking arrangements and swimming pool opening times. You need to park in the expensive public car park opposite, give your ticket to the hotel; they arrange for you to pay only 2.50 euros per stay up to 24 hours; we didn't know this until we arrived. I missed a pre-checkout swim because nowhere did it say the pool only opens from 2pm to 9pm; a folder of information in the room would have been nice.

Very elegant hotel with good town centre location, close to the Serra Estrela. Very good and varied breakfast and an excellent evening meal in the restaurant (don't waste time looking for a better one nearby; you won't find one). We had a wonderful dual-aspect room (114) with balcony, sofa, mini-bar/fridge, modern slimline TV (not all rooms have this) and full-size bath (filled from shower).
