The apartment had everything thing we needed, including a crib for our 8mo old (upon request). Bed was so comfortable, shower pressure was great, and the balcony was a plus. The host was so nice and responsive too. Best of all the location was central to the corniche, shopping, old town, and dinning. We would definitely stay again!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

The manager was super super responsive even when things went a bit wrong (no one's fault) he talked us through everything! And he left local treats for us. What a wonderful surprise.

You do have to pass through the restaurant on your way. Not a negative, just something to be aware of.

The location was good: close to downtown and quiet. The property was much bigger than we expected from the pictures. The conditioner worked well. Overall, it was a great stay! And the host is super welcoming, nice, and responsive!!

Tv remote wasn’t working. But minor issue.

Amazing location. City centre but slightly tucked away. Windows sound proof. Supermarkets and cafes nearby. Good location for tours to pick up and drop off. Clean and spacious. Even provided new clean towels half way through the trip and gave us free Madeira cake and wine as gifts. Provided shower gel, hair dryer , kettle , teabags and bottled water. Clean sheets. Good WiFi speed.

We really enjoyed our stay! The studio was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Great location near the promenade, cafes, and restaurants. Madeira wine and traditional cookies were a lovely surprise. We’d love to come back!

Very good studio apartment , very spacious with everything we required provided in the property, the welcome gift of Madeira wine , biscuits and cake was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The studio was spotlessly clean and in a very central position for us to explore the old town with plenty of shops and eating places nearby. We were in easy walking distance of the cable car, the old fruit , vegetable and fish market and plentiful buses to travel around Funchal and the rest of the Island. One downside was that the taxi driver couldn’t drop us off / collect us at the property due to the narrow streets , also it wasn’t made clear what we could do with items that were recyclable and we didn’t see any nearby bins so we left them outside the room in a separate bag , there was only one channel in English on the TV and no English news channel which was disappointing as the weather was a bit mixed but this did not spoil our holiday and would definitely book the accommodation again.

Recommended Parking (Santa Luzia Rua 5 Outubro) is 10 mins walk up the hill..although it is €5 for 24hrs which is better value than the one closer by the supermarket €15 for 24hrs. The bed was too low and mattress was a little uncomfortable..not enough pillows were supplied..although in fairness we didn't ask..if we did Jaoa would have got some sent up. I reported one of the patio chairs snapped on the seat and he replaced the chairs the next day.

Jaoa couldn't be more helpful. From sending us the codes for gates, doors, where to go, clear instructions on accessing the keys, lovely welcome with the madeiran honey and nut cake, butter cookies and Madeiras famous wine..The studio was spotlessly clean, we had everything we needed but no toaster..kettle, Microwave, coffee machine and fridge..large size patio with wicker table and chairs.. Any problems were sorted very quickly when reported. Location was excellent, over a restaurant Armazém do sol on Rua do Alfandega..so very central to everything. 5 mins walk from the port where you get the whale watching tour, columbus ship tour, Cable cars, supermarkets, restaurants cafes, piaza, hotels,

We had a wonderful stay at Tanoeiros Studios in Madeira! The studio was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the island. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming—he went out of his way to help us by holding our luggage when we arrived early and even assisted us in arranging a rental car, which made our trip so much smoother. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Madeira!

The bathroom had a smell coming from it that was quite bad at times, no parking available if you have a car.

Cute studio, great location! Little welcome basket with wine and treats was a really nice touch. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

-The matrasses were quite hard, and in times uncomfortable. Tip for people who rent cars: parking in Funchal is a nightmare. But there is a good affordable parking garage 10 minutes walking from the apartment, called Parque Santa Luzia (max €4.50 per 24 hours), which had space for the whole week we were there.

The hospitality was amazing. We absolutely loved the welcoming package (with Madeira wine and some expensive local treats), and the host always responded very quickly if we had questions or requests. The apartment is very spacious, we loved having a couch also, and 2 different tables. The bathroom was nice and modern. The location was excellent. You can not get more central in Funchal. Wifi was excellent.

This particular studio (No.12) does not have a view, and like most apartments you can get noise transference from other residents typically when returning late or leaving early to catch early flights etc.

The key reason for choosing this property is without doubt the location, central position for restaurants bars market airport bus, no need for taxis or uphill walks after an evening out. The communication with the owner is excellent with clear instructions, good size studio with comfortable arm chairs to sit and relax with a glass of the complimentary madeira wine, shower is superb.
