Giving the 200 euro safeguarding money at the start of our holidays. We had paid in advance and feel that there should be a trust there that we would respect the hotel. Apart from that we really enjoyed the whole experience.

The hotel was ideal for a quiet break, yet was close to both the beach and Old Town for having the full Albufriera experience. The view of the sea was amazing, we could hear the waves from our bedroom which was so soothing. The Staff were very efficient, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was fresh every morning and very healthy.

The hotel was small and friendly. The position was amazing and well worth the small amount extra paid for the sea view. Bed very comfy & great A/C in room. The whole place was spotless. We were leaving before breakfast & they made us packed breakfast to go which wasnt expected by us. Will come here again

We were on top floor and paid premium for balcony and sea view, although sea view was great, i wouldn’t call it a balcony, it was tiny and only could see a sea view when standing. Breakfast the same every day and only continental. The beds were very hard.

Extremely good location, 2 minutes from the beach and town centre but at the same time really quiet. Beautiful views from the restaurant terrace. Really clean and tidy. Pleasant staff.

It would be nice to have tea & coffee available before and after breakfast hours of 8:00-10:00. While the view from our room was beautiful, the bed faced the wrong direction so we were facing a wall rather the the oceanview.

The hotel may ask for additional payment for using their towels (there's a note that if you try to use them while you have sunscreen/cosmetics/etc you might have to hay penalty). The most of the guests are seniors (this isn't a minus for sure, but the next item might be caused by that). The guests, who have booked the rooms near the pool, might scream at you if you try to sit/relax in the pool area after 7pm. Due to, you may be either near their rooms (some of them have doors right to the pool) or disturb them to sleep (yes, at 7pm).

The rooms are small and quite dark, with people walking in front of the windows. Breakfast is fairly poor with no variety and almost no hot options. The town itself is not that enjoyable to be in

The location is quite good, it is 4 mins to the beach and 10 minutes to the city center where all cafes and bars are, the view is amazing from the pool area and you can enjoy the sunrise in the morning

Very strict hotel rules regarding using everything in hotel room (not seen such in any other hotel previously). Added photos with responsibility agreement which we signed while check-in and also warning in bathroom. Also, don't forget to take hair dryer (the one in room doesn't dry anything :()

Hotel is in a really good location - few minutes both from ocean and from centre. Breakfast was very good (and also with perfect view from terrace). The staff was also very nice.

Nothing to dislike here. The desk staff was often working in the kitchen or elsewhere, so we sometimes had to look for them to answer questions, but that's a minor issue.

Liked the location most of all. Beautiful view of the ocean and near old town center. Staff was very friendly and helpful to all our needs. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Hotel was not overly crowded and only adults.

We were initially located in a street side facing room which we found very noisy at night. We requested a move to a seaview room (extra cost) which was much quieter.

The location of Vila Sao Vicente is excellent if you want to be close to Albuferia old town. The seaview room was very nice. The simple continental style breakfast was more than excellent and we soon started looking forward to it.

Bad smell water/sewage in room for first couple of days. All members of staff extremely friendly and helpful with the exception of one male individual in reception - not the one with dark hair, the balding one.

The breakfast options are limited and were the same for all 7 days I've been there. There is almost no warm food there, pretty much only hard boiled eggs. Also, there were no beer on tap, only bottled one. The street can be noise during the night as a lot of taxis using it to get tourists back to their hotels

The location is great, it is fairly quite street but not far from the beach (3-5 min walk) and not far from the old city center where all the tourists get together for drinks or meal. There are also couple of bars nearby like Eddy's which has decent beer and fairly cheap food. Clean and comfortable rooms, though fairly small ones.

Told I could not have a sea view room. But next day when I ask ,can move for30 euros a night, which I didn't mind , but just get it sorted out

I have one complaint. The hotel requires its guests to make a Euros 200 damage deposit at check in. I have no problem with the principle of that. However, the hotel takes the deposit either in cash or by requiring you to write your credit card details on a piece of paper which is retained by the hotel for the duration of your stay. There was no option for a secure swipe of a credit card to be taken. This surprised me and is not in line with modern practice. Fortunately, I had cash available and made my deposit in cash. There was no way that I was going to allow any other person to have a manuscript record of the details of one of my credit cards. I hope that the hotel takes note of this comment and changes its practices for the future.

The hotel is a short walk up the hill from the Old Town, in a splendid position overlooking one of the main beaches. The public terrace with small swimming pool looks over the beach and was very pleasant at all times of the day. The staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel is perfectly comfortable but I would not say it is luxurious, as such, by contrast with many hotels which describe themselves as boutique hotels. I would be very happy to stay there again
