Room could have been aired out a little before my arrival. Also because it is not close to any shops, maybe a small food/drink welcome pack would be nice for late arrivals. Everything else was perfect.

Beautiful Pension Style Accommodation, the garden and pool area particularly stunning. Bed was very comfortable, mostly very quiet.

Beautiful house with unbelievably beautiful gardens, Andre shares the same love I have for plants. Room was simple and clean, AC worked great which was a blessing on hot and sunny days. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking and a whole fridge and freezer for guests 😀 Andre was amazing, kind and helpful, although he wasn't actually around he was contactable via messages. Super simple check in process and Andre was kind enough to let us stay and use the garden space after checkout as we had a late night flight ✈️ Lovely beaches just over a 10 minute drive away, we hired a car and this was great for getting around and exploring and getting to shops etc. The other guests were all super friendly and was a nice opportunity to meet other people from around the world 🌎

There's really nothing to not like...the house and the host are superb! The neighborhood is in development so there are areas still in construction or needing a reformation but that's ok

The house is beautifully decorated and has a nice, chilled vibe with plants all around. The garden outside is wonderful and very well taken care of. Swimming pool is big and clean. Lots of places to sit down and relax. The garden has a ping pong table, a balance board and even a slack line! But the best of all is Andre, the host. He was super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help with anything. He made our stay be a wonderful one, thanks André!!

Our stay at André‘s place in the Vila Vale Guest House was perfect. We‘ve stayed there for one night and we‘ve regretted that we could‘nt stay longer. It is a very charming house and our room was very beautiful. They have a stunning garden and pool. We felt comfortable from the beginning. You can see the loving details that the hosts invested everywhere. The hosts were very accomodating and helpful with their suggestions for restaurants and the surf school. They made all the reservations for us. The villa is situated close to nice beaches, bars and restaurants. We felt very welcomed and had a pleasant stay. We can highly recommend this place.

If you wish to move around a lot, we would recommend to rent a car (about 30-40 mins from airport or lisbon city center but you will go on the 25th April bridge to get there which is worth it)

Beautiful villa in the south of Lisbon. The swimming pool and the garden are like an heaven. The owner welcomed us with big smile like you get when you arrive home and is able to propose lots of activities especially related to yoga and surf but is also full of great advices. The room was very comfortable and clean and the house is very well decorated giving the impression to be in your own holidays house. We wish to thank Andre to have giving such a warm welcome and a taste of what is the best of hospitality for portugese. This is the perfect location if you wish to see the southern of portugal (praia do ribeiro do cavalo, praia dos penedos, sesimbra, caparica,...) without being too far from Lisbon.

You need a car to get around.

This is a lovely guesthouse with a very welcoming and caring host. The garden is a little paradise with a very nice pool. The beaches can be reached by car in 10-15 mintue. I would have loved to stay longer then just one night!

We truly loved our time at Vila Vale, it felt like a home away from home. The garden area is so well maintained and it’s such a beautiful place to relax. Similarly, the bedroom and living areas were all very clean and decorated tastefully. Vila Vale is a true little oasis tucked away in a nice quiet area. Each day we walked to the beautiful nearby beaches, with plenty of great local restaurants near by. Knowing this is just over 2hrs away from London is great, and we will definitely be back at some point. Andre and Andrea were so kind, welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they had lots of great recommendations for things to do.

40 min drive from Lisbon but close to the beach and so peaceful

How should I start, there is nothing to complain about! The accommodation is furnished with attention to detail, you can see immediately that the hosts have put their heart and soul into it, but regardless, you couldn't wish for better hosts. The two of them are super nice, friendly and you immediately feel well looked after and if you have any questions you are taken care of as a matter of course. You can feel a great vibe and I immediately took them to my heart. Thank you for your hospitality, I hope to see you again! in your house when I'm back, or somewhere else in portugal ;)

I had an incredible experience. This place is a haven of peace. The hosts welcome you with a sincere, generous smile. I have rarely seen such kind people. the house is amazing. The space is warm and particularly well decorated. As soon as you enter the house you feel at home. everything is clean and very well thought out. The garden is extraordinary and there is a magnificent swimming pool. Believe me, you absolutely have to try this experience. you will not regret it. Caroline made me an acai. It was the first time for me and I loved it. if you are looking for peace, rest and tranquility you must go there
