The room had been cleaned but the decor was tired so it didn't fell spotless. Especially in the bathroom and spa. It is a way out from town and the bus was great but if you wanted to go out in the evening you did have to get a taxi or walk along a long unlit road

Spa and breakfast included, staff were friendly and helpful, there was a bus into town at certain times of the day and the location was quiet and felt safe

Room wasn’t ready at check in- staff didn’t alert us when it was ready. Very busy with older folks- sometimes felt like we were in a British nursing home. Shower wasn’t great- a little mold. Not really walking distance from town.

Beautiful grounds, had a nice river view patio. The pool was very nice. Really good breakfast.

A little remote from the town and a small thing I know but if there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room it would helped during our stay

Breakfast was only average. Terrible coffee from machine. Freshly brewed coffee is a must.

The Hotel is too far from the town for walking,We tried one day and got eaten by mosquitoes.

Food in the evening was poor. Location was isolated - 4km from Tavira town - so it was not walkable in the evenings for dinner.

Not quite the 4* feel- had to ask for more tea and coffee after it wasn’t replaced, only a shower gel/shampoo mix provided, not individual options. Quite casual staff- quiet in the spa relax zone completely ignored as others were talking on the telephone.

Very rustic and not a run of the mill hotel. Secluded and quiet. Food as expected, and not bad value for a quick bar snack.

Bathroom was quite dated, had mold in the shower and a real issue with ants, which maybe can’t be avoided with the climate but it was still not what we expected to find at a hotel such as this. Pool area was nice enough but also had a bit of an all-inclusive vibe with activities and music to entertain, which some people may have wanted but it really distracted from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.

Really nice location, beautiful views at the beach and a very quiet spot away from town. Direct boat access to Tavira Island was convenient. Walking trails around the salinas were an unexpected bonus, especially if you’re into birding (great birding in October!!)

Our room was invaded by ants. They moved us to a different room with no protest, but could have been much more proactive on that (i.e. we had to ask), and despite saying cleaning staff would be sent at once, they had not appear half an hour later. Needing swimming caps in the inside pool is weird these days. The spa bath (not a Jacuzzi but similar) was out of action.

The hotel is in a great setting and ideal for a relaxing few days break. The buffet breakfasts are especially good with a wide selection and short order chef cooking things like eggs and crepes. Other meals are good - which is important as there are not other places within walking distance. The outside pool is excellent, the inside one has a weird requirement to wear swimming caps which they will sell to you for 4€

Having to leave, we would have loved to stay longer.

The surroundings and tranquillity of the hotel. The gardens are amazing, and we loved the spa, very relaxing atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Staff at reception were really helpful.

Buffet breakfast had quite a few choices,unfortunately some were cold,some items were dried up I.e. Cake as though left out. Evening buffet was okay,not much choice for the price in our opinion,we had a bar meal there that was better value ,shame as the staff were so nice,and I know buffet meals can be difficult anywhere!.

Situation.....short walk to beautiful estuary. Hotel was very well located,accommodation was great,staff were very helpful and friendly,they have kept a lot of the traditional fishing village.....school,church and a little museum that was interesting. Grounds were lovely and we'll kept,lovely pool.

The room was a bit dark and lighting was not great for applying make up.

The layout of the hotel and grounds was safe and friendly. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The ferry to the islands was within walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a great offering.

We had bad lucks with the ants. It's the 6th time we stay in this hotel, so we know nature happens, but this year the ants were bothersome. But the hotel did a good job trying to help getting rid of them.

Main staff is always nice, the food was nicer than the last year. I love the location, hence why we come back every year.

Hotel far from town. We were disappointed in the fact that the parking is outside the hotel and not very secure. There was no covered parking, so it's first come, first served. A la carte menu for dinner is not worth the price. Shame they don't serve fresh orange juice at breakfast.

We enjoyed getting the ferry to the island to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Breakfast was adequate with plenty of choices. Pool bar was great, good cocktails and snacks. Hotel in quiet location away from town.
