Very low cellings in the attic appartment (not recommendable for people higher than 170cm; I wish I knew this before), low water pressure

Lovely designed dining room, nice socializing place in the garden, parking space, English speaking owner, decent continental breakfast

Very friendly and welcoming host/owner, who even offered a lovely glass of Port wine on arrival. Great location near to Peniche and Baleal within a short drive, and golf courses of West Cliffs, Prai Del Rey, Royal Obidos only 10 minutes away. Quiet and peaceful location.

We had the loveliest welcome at Villa Berlenga. The staff were all so friendly. Our room that slept 5 was beautiful and had loads of space. Breakfast was just perfect, lovely fresh breads, cheese, cold meat, fruit, yoghurt and cereal.

The bed was too hard for my taste.

I arrived really late, or rather 1:30 am, and someone was actually waiting up for me - which was very much appreciated! This is a nice, cosy place - good accomodation in a small sleepy village just outside Baleal and Peniche. Spotlessly clean and beautiful maritime decor. Wifi working very well all over, also in the room. Breakfast was good and sufficient, but nothing special. The hosts and staff were really helpful and serviceminded. I enjoyed my eight nights here.

Nothing, but if have to say something, than distance/drive time to beach/restaurant/tourist attractions

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The accommodations were just as portrayed/advertised. We enjoyed sitting out front enjoying the sunset and view over Peniche and the Berlenga Islands each evening, so did not to sit in the garden which was pretty and quiet just outside of our room. Our hosts were very attentive in every detail, chose/provided excellent wines, beers, cheeses, breads as requested ready for our arrival, made an excellent homemade dinner featuring a traditional Portuguese cod dish, recommended a very good restaurant close by by car and even helped us with a car challenge in a fast, inexpensive and very effective way! Everything in our room worked well consistently over our stay. The breakfast daily met our expectations as to type of items which would be offered and was more than adequate in quality and quantity. Driving holiday, the distances to one or two tourist sites per day was not prohibitive to leaving later morning and being home before sunset (October), like Obidos/Nazare one day and Colares/Sintra/Cabo da Roca/Peninha/Convento dos Capuchos another. We lucked in to being there during the annual world surfing competition nearby.

Room fridge could have been turned on. A little more options on breakfast, like some scrambled eggs would have turned the breakfast from good to excelent

Very welcoming staff. Came down there for the surf event, but wanted to stay away from the crowded places. Excelent place for relaxing a bit when getting back from the contest mayhem. Also, brought my surf gear and manager let us wash our wetsuits in the backyard and store our board in the room or backyard
