To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomWindow handle broke (fixed super quickly) so first night window ajar with very noisy bin men collecting at 230am and traffic noise. My room overlooked the car park. Noisy neighbours on the 3rd night shouting and screaming till 1am ( I was travelling for work so had to be up at 7am). Couldn’t charge breakfast to my room which felt abit silly.
Lovely and clean, staff very welcoming and helpful. Really nice breakfast and reasonable prices at bar. Beautiful building and central location with lovely cafe over the road for breakfast and Italian for dinner.

United KingdomOn a whim, I booked a return flight from Rome to Gatwick that has a 17 hour stopover in Lisbon. This was ideally located for our purposes as we had a 710h flight to get the day after arrival - on a longer trip to Lisbon, not being "bang central" in the heart of the city might have been more of an issue. Easy check-in, quirky wooden keycards to get into the room and a clean room with a bath!!. So rare to have the option of a bath. Very good access to taxis - I should not really give credit to the hotel for this, but our driver spoke English, drove safely and made excellent suggestions on how to make the most of our evening.

All staff is very nice and willing to help, especially Mr. Goncalo Figueiredo (hope I wrote the name correctly), who advised and answered all my requests. I had limited time, so his orientation help (including calls in local language) was a valuable concierge service! It's true that you expect to have this in a 5 stars hotel, but I'm grateful for saving my time and money. Thank you, Mr. Figueiredo!

United KingdomThe gym was a bit outdated and needed some repairs. No coffee making facilities in the room. We did ask and got a kettle. But no mugs or anything else to make coffee everyday.
The catering staff were very attentive and friendly. Cleaning staff were very good and even folded our little ones pyjamas one day, room was cleaned every day. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. 3 min walk from the metro and a shopping centre. Breakfast was really good. Whole place was clean.
