“The hotel is very clean and well maintained. While it may appear a little far from the city center on the map, the city is small, and it’s within walking distance of all the main attractions, with a bus stop right outside.
The staff are extremely helpful and kind. I arrived early on a very hot day, and they went out of their way to let me into my room ahead of time, even though the hotel’s automated check-in system normally doesn’t allow it. Their efforts saved me a lot of trouble and made my stay much more comfortable. I truly appreciate their kindness.”

“The couple who run this guesthouse are very nice and welcoming. Everything is very clean. My single room had comfortable bed and a desk; bath is down the hall. The optional Japanese breakfast is highly recommended--tasty and filling. For other meals guests use microwave and hot-water kettle to fix their own food. Quiet location with the gentle sound of the surf.
I am on a bicycle ride and found the location ideal: A day's ride from Amami via Route 81, then a loop to Kasarizaka Lighthouse at northern end of island, then a ride south on Route 58.”

You need a car. But it’s easy driving here.
Run by a family consisting of Dad, daughter and son. Travelling solo they made me feel so welcome; made me delicious meals ( veggie & fish only), invited me to the local festival. An absolute delight to stay here. Great value too.
