“Muhammed was a great host very helpful, above and beyond expectations. Arranged onward travel etc Good location, WiFi fine, good views, clean room. All good.”
“Wonderful host, he made full arrangement late in the night from airport as well as early morning boat ride to reach our destination. Food is excellent and thr garden, room was clean and spacious more than any we had so far in Egypt, also airconditioned.”
“: Very close to public ferries to Aswan. Rooms were functional, on the livelier side of Elephantine islands. Great views on the balcony for breakfast. Most importantly, staff were amazing, helpful and welcoming. They provided advice on how to get to main sites in Aswan, helped us secure good prices and booked day trip to Abu Simbel. Highly recommend this place and will definitely return! Thank you again for making our stay on Elephantine very nice and memorable , I was truly overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality at this place. Ahmed the owner, along with his staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They arranged a car from the airport, and the driver was in touch with me well in advance of my arrival. Despite my late arrival, Ahmed prepared a delicious homemade dinner at a very reasonable price. She also organized a felucca ride on short notice, again at a fair rate.
During our conversations, I shared some stories about my family who couldn’t join me on the trip. In a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, Ahmed gave a small gift for my wife and kids — a touching example of Nubian hospitality and culture that really stayed with me.
On my first day, her son kindly accompanied me on the ferry to help me get familiar with the area — another thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. Every request I had was taken care of promptly and with genuine care.
Do note that the place is located on an island, so you'll need to take a ferry to get in and out. The service is frequent, but it’s something to be aware of when planning. Overall, an exceptional stay with an incredibly kind and generous host family.
: They arrange for me all tours around Aswan and Luxor with very reasonable prices
I will come back sure”
“The atmosphere - located at a beautiful location, so serene & peaceful. The room is basic but comfortable & value for money. I experienced the great hospitality of Mostafa's family, his nephew Mohamed always helpful on my requests - he dropped me at ferry port for my 4am tour to Abu Simbel without hesitation. His uncle Yasser helped on my tour arrangement. I went for kayak with the boys across nile river near to their place. Am glad I stayed here for amazing memories.”
“Everything was great overall. However, there was one issue that made me quite uncomfortable. When I asked if I could use the washing machine, a staff member offered to handle it for me directly. The problem is that **the laundry fee was never mentioned upfront**. Later, while I was away, the same staff member approached my friend to ask for payment, which was very embarrassing for both of us. To top it off, my clothes weren't even cleaned properly! 😂”
“This was my first time visiting Aswan and staying at this place made the whole experience amazing and unforgettable. The place was affordable with amazing view and everything I needed. The host is extremely kind and thoughtful and made sure I was comfortable from the start until the end. The hospitality was incredible and as a solo female travel I felt very safe and well taken care of. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Shoutout to Kareem, and I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in this island.”
“We really enjoyed our stay at the Nile Bride. The view from the terrace is stunning. We loved to have breakfast there in the morning and watch the boats sail by and watch the sunset in the evening. Mostafa is a great host. He arranged our trips to Abu Simbel and the Philae Temple. Navigating to and from the island to the mainland is very easy. Ferries cross the river regularly and the fare is only 10 EGP each way. Mostafa’s nephew picked us up in his motor boat on our days of arrival and departure. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in Aswan. We can definitely recommend it.”
“Breakfast was good and filling. They even prepared it to take away for our early morning departure to Abu Simbel. The room was clean and functional, beds were comfortable, great A/C and the guesthouse is located in a very peaceful and quiet area on the island, all of which made for a good night’s rest. The hosts are quick to respond, very helpful to organize activites etc., and super welcoming. Recommended!”
“The accommodation is located right on the Nile and is designed in the style of a small Nubian village. There is a delightful interplay of stairways, steps, and ramps winding around and partly over the rocks, all brightly decorated — a feast for the eyes and a wonderful example of harmonious architecture that draws on historical elements, embraces Nubian culture, and translates modernity into the contemporary.”
