  “The apartment was ideal for us - it's just a 5-10 min walk from the railway station (as we were travelling by train with all our luggage) and a similar distance to the sweeping golden beach that stretches around the bay to La Baule and beyond. We were met by the very helpful Elouan who facilitated the handover of the keys at the beginning and end of our stay. The apartment building is in a residential block in a street with shady pine trees; the balcony receives afternoon sun. Local shops nearby (including a boulangerie) provide all the basics, and there are local eateries both in the centre of town (including a well-established Italian where we enjoyed a meal) and down towards the seafront. It's not the liveliest of resorts, for better or worse, but Pornichet is an appealing place to spend a quiet stay, with a number of attractive old villas dotted around among the more modern architecture (including the local casino). There's mini-golf nearby, playgroups on the sandy beach for younger ones, the charming town of Le Croisic is just 20 minutes away by train, and the spectacular sunsets around the bay are certainly something to be enjoyed.”

  “Located very close to the train station, so very easy to access. Short walk to the beach, with lots of bakeries and shops along the way. Excellent location for a fabulous stay. Hugo was there to meet us when we arrived and explained where everything was/how it worked and even gave us some recommendations for dinner that night which was very much appreciated.”
