We have done a lot of travelling in Italy and when we decided to stay in one place for a month we choose Bologna. Plenty to do in the city, the food...oh the food and the location for doing day trips to Parma, Modena, Ravenna, Ferrara is so easy. Being a university town it has vibrant energy, highly recommended.Guest review byJaniceAustralia - 10.0

I enjoyed the sun and the seaside and I also visited the centre of the city, full of history (the arch of August, the bridge of Tiberius, the roman amphitheatre, the medieval castle and so on...). On Saturday I took the 'metromare' and made a little journey to Riccione.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Riccione is a very cool town, ideal if you're looking for a vacation where relaxation and fun take center stage. It may not boast the historical past of Rimini (which dates back to Roman times), but it’s packed with high-end shops, great restaurants, cinemas, and more — so you won’t have any trouble finding something interesting to do. This year, the municipality launched an International Festival dedicated to TV series, with a program featuring premieres and interviews with famous screenwriters, directors, and actors. If you're a night owl, you can spend the night in one of the many clubs nestled in the surrounding hills.Guest review byDanieleMOItaly - 6.0
Really enjoyed, beautiful. Very walkable.
Really enjoyed, beautiful. Very walkable. No police presence. Did not enjoy groups of 25-40 young men running around fighting. Everyone ran from the mercardo in fear when they started fighting with mask and wine bottles.Guest review byDcinnvUnited States - 8.0

The old centre is quite small and easy to navigate. Most building are build in 14th century, with some later renovations/additions, and really beautiful with their brick walls. I really enjoyed my visit of Castello Estense (go up the Lion Tower for beautiful view of the city!) and Schifanoia Palace.Guest review byTaraSlovenia - 10.0

Afraid that we'd miss the essence of the town in just a two-day stay, we booked a private guided tour with Franceso Antonelli, which was fantastic as in just three hours gave us the history and showed us some of the UNESCO sites. Very knowledgeable and accomodating bringing the history to life. He also does Bologna and Modena tours. He can be reached at www.emiliaromagnatourguide.com and is on FB and Instagram.Guest review bysuzanneUnited States - 8.0

Cesenatico has got a very nice beach and a nice vibe as well. Distances are all walkable. Despite the many people around, everyone seems to be relaxed and friendly. Beach (Paradiso Beach) is pleasant and safe. Plenty of bars/restaurants/shops/markets as well. It was my second time in Cesenatico and would definitely return.Guest review byDannyBelgium - 10.0
Bologna is a complex city with a large historic center.
Bologna is a complex city with a large historic center. We have been there 3 times. We did not enjoy the 1st 2 visits. Simply put, we didn't spend enough time wandering through town. It's best experienced by strolling thorough various neighborhoods. We walked through the Quadrilatero, University, Piazza Maggiore, and San Stefano. We liked Bologna's little Venice. Bologna is filled with restaurants, Trattorias, Osterias, bars and specialty shops. One recommendation: on the weekend, you must absolutely get reservations for the more popular restaurants or you aren't getting in.Guest review byJamesItaly
